Barefoot Books By Liz- Review (CLOSED)

posted in book, book-Movie, children, giveaway, kids, review on by

I couldn’t be more delighted to be working with Liz who is an ambassador of Barefoot Books. Lee Lee LOVES books and I’m trying to get Moo to enjoy them too.

I choose to review “Shrinking Sam” and “There’s a Cow in the Cabbage Patch“.

About “Shrinking Sam” (by Miriam Latimer) and my thoughts:
This story is about a boy who is being ignored by everyone around him. He slowly shrinks and shrinks until he falls down a drain where he meets a new friend who is also shrinking from being ignored. He slowly grows larger as people begin to notice him again, until he is bigger then before.
Lee Lee LOVED this book, she kept laugh through out it. I love the artwork of this book. The book is fun to read and to go on an adventure with Sam and see the world as he sees it while he is shrinking. This is a great book for toddlers.

About “There’s a Cow in the Cabbage Patch” (by Clare Beaton) and my thoughts:
The book starts out with the farmers finding a cow in the wrong spot on the farm, we then go where the cow should be and find another animal is the wrong place. We follow through the farm finding the animals are all mixed up. When the farmers call dinner time all the animals finally get to their correct places.
I loved reading this book. It flowed well and was an easy read to read to my 14 month old. It was funny to see where each animal would be found. Again I love the artwork in this book. The book is short enough to keep your little ones’ attention.

Over all I have fallen in love with Barefoot Books and look forward to reading more.

About Liz for Barefoot Books:
“I’m a wahm, happily married for 9 years to the Army…I mean my wonderful hubby 🙂 We have 3 wild and wonderful kiddos ages 8, 4, and 22 months. I became a Barefoot Books Ambassador because I was looking for a way to contribute to the family finances without having to get a full time job outside the home, I was drawn to Barefoot because of the amazing quality of their books and products, I like that they are not so commercialized and focus on such themes as taking care of our planet and celebrating our differences! I work my business around MY schedule and do as much or as little as I want with it with no quotas or requirements for sales…I *LOVE* it!”
