What is The Professor Brooster Mechanical Brain Booster?
“It is a fun, multi-sensory developmental game that uses a ticking timer. The parent hides the timer in places and ways that are carefully and incrementally sequenced to promote cognitive development. Sounds simple – and it is – but not only is this great for cognitive development, kids LOVE playing it.
The custom timer has a magnetic back for sticking to metal surfaces and a safety break-away strap for hanging it on or around objects, so the hiding places can get very creative. The game comes with a 12 page guide filled with very specific stage-by-stage developmentally-appropriate recommendations and game ideas. They start out very simple for the very young and get fiendishly challenging.”

My Thoughts-
I love that this game can work for all ages. I first tried it out on Moo who is only 1.5 years old. The instructions say to hide it while she is watching and let her “find” it and bring it back to you, you then start to hide it in plain sight but have her not watch where you put it and have her find it. Moo didn’t get it at first and was mad when mommy would take the timer and not give it right back to her. But after awhile she figured it out and was having a blast. I was able to start hiding it in more difficult places and she would find it. Below is a photo of one of the times she found the timer, she was soooo proud.

I then played a game with Lee, 4.5 years old. There is a game where you let the child hide the timer and you “try” to find it but actually play like you don’t. I’d ask, “is it here?” obliviously going the wrong way. She’d laugh and say, MOMMY, nooooo.” This made her feel special plus we had some great laughs out of it.

Over all I loved this game, simple but really fun. I love that it fits all ages and helps them learn and grow. The game book comes with a ton of ideas to help your children and there seems to be full of endless possibilities.
