“Baby Animal Pop!”– National Geographic Kids
“In this show-stopper of a picture book a baby bunny, a sweet lamb, a wobbly pony, a family of piglets and a line of baby ducks all magically unfold with at the turn of the page to reveal their actual size. This book is sure to dazzle, but it is educational as well. Additional pages with special photos and captions highlight awesome animal features and supplemental spreads include “The First Year of Life,” which gives a glimpse of a baby’s animal development.”
This is the most AMAZING pop-up book I have ever seen. Lee calls it her “magic book” because the animals become life-size. And yes, they really are life-sized, the horse and the lamb page a HUGE!!! After each pop-up page is a facts page about the animal, from how they sleep to what they eat…
I sat down with Lee and we went through the whole book. She then wanted to go through it again and as I was on the pop-up page I would ask her questions about the animal and I was amazed at how much she had already learned from just reading it once. I think the impact of the life-size pop-ups and the amazing colorful photos kept her attention so that she would want to take it all in.
I HIGHLY, highly recommend this book. it’s perfect for any family. It would also be perfect for the classroom or for homeschooling. There is so much to learn and grow from on each page. 3 of you will have a chance below to win a copy for yourself.
Here are some photos of us going through the book. Lee’s favorite page was the house, of course. (the angle of the photos don’t really show you how BIG each page is)
