“The Soul Reader” by Gerard D. Webster
“In The Soul Reader, Ward McNulty is a man torn between seeking justice or forgiveness. It is in discovering the true identity of his father’s murderer while protecting the woman that he loves that he finds both.”
After a terrible accident where Ward McNulty almost died he discovered he had the “gift” to see a true person, to read their soul. Ward’s ex has asked him to work on a book with her about some events that happened in their own town. At first he said no but then he knew he needed to protect her and that he was a good man for the job. The book she was writing was going to get her into trouble and Ward hoped he could help her before it was too late. While helping her Ward was able to soften his soul from all the hate and anger he held inside. But it wasn’t easy.
This book keeps you on your toes. Just when you think you have things figured out there is another twist. I laughed, cried and had many sighs of relief throughout this book. It’s a page turner you wont want to put down.
I would recommend this book to everyone ages 14+ who would like a good, fast moving, Christian book. I’m not sure if there is more in their series or if there will be but I’d love to read more from this author.
