The set is designed for children ages 18 months and older. Kids can follow Belle, Briar Rose, Ariel, Snow White, Pocahontas, Cinderella, and Jasmine on a variety of look-and-find adventures.
-Each of the seven scenes in the Look and Find book features six or seven hidden Disney Princess characters and related items for children to find. Additional sets of hidden objects are listed in the final section, enabling children to revisit the Look and Find scenes a second time.
-The 40-piece heavy board puzzle measures 3×2 feet and features Beauty and the Beast. After children assemble the puzzle, they put a border around it, and then search the puzzle for items that are illustrated in the border, including songbirds, animals, and snowflakes.”
Moo was given a The Disney Princess First Look and Find Book and 40-Piece Giant Puzzle as a gift from a friend this Christmas. (They said they found it at Costco, in Ontario). Moo’s eyes got huge when she saw it, “look mommy, princesses”. I already knew this toy was going to be a hit.
The puzzle was fun to put together with her, she’d hand me a piece “here mommy” and I’d lay it down in the right place. The puzzle was HUGE, about 3 feet by 2 feet. This made it a nice puzzle for Moo, who is only 2.5 years old. she was able to see all the detail and talked all about what she saw in the puzzle. We then used the “find it” edges of the puzzle to find the items in the photo. She had tons of fun with this.
The book is a nice size too and has lots of great photo that are very colorful. Every page is a different princess in a scene they would be in, in their stories. Although Moo didn’t totally catch on to finding the object in the photo(she would find the item in the find it box but not the photo itself), she did have fun looking through the whole book, over and over.
I love this set as it will encourage “hand-eye” coordination with the puzzle and that it encourages reading and comprehension. Sometimes our kids get too many toys for the holidays but I feel you can’t go wrong with a book and a puzzle. I highly encourage you to look for toys like this one that will encourage your child’s mental growth.
