Couch to 5K- Half Way

I am half way through the Couch to 5K program. When I started I really didn’t know/think I could do a 5k in 9 weeks but now it’s seeming more of a reality. In week 3 of the program I was doing 3 minute runs and I thought I was going to die, today I did two 8 minute runs and felt like I could keep going. I will be tested with this on Saturday when I do a full 20 minute run for the first time. I’m excited but scared at the same time. I know if I just put my mind to it I’ll be able to do it. I might not enjoy it, but I know I can do it.

In 4 weeks I’ll be done. Last summer it was my goal to run a full 5k by the end of it, I was only able to get to 3k. So to celebrate the finishing of my goal I will be throwing a party. On May 19th I will officially running, without stopping a 5k and hopefully under 45 minutes. I plan on having a video of my crossing the finish line and hoping to have friends and family at the end to celebrate with me. I know a 5K isn’t a huge deal but for someone like me it’s very huge.
