“ReVamped” by Ada Adams
When I was asked if I’d review this book I was hesitant. I’m not really into vampire books and I wasn’t sure I’d really like it. But I decided to give it a chance and I’m glad I did. The book is a fast past read that I got it all read in 2.5 nights.(evenings) One night I didn’t want to put it down at all but sleep was calling me.
The book is centered around the Vampire president’s daughter, Dawn. All her life she has been trained for combat and protecting the humans. She has longed to go outside the presidential grounds but was never allowed. Then one day her dad gave her the opportunity to go to a small town and train a group of four vampires to help protect it. The problem was these vampires were what we’d consider misfits. One is a ditzy cheerleader, a mousy librarian, a drug addict, and a vampire that just became on a few weeks ago. Dawn had a lot of work ahead of her. Meanwhile there is “evil” brewing in the town, a group of vampires are out to hurt Dawn. They have no clue why and when they finally do, Dawn’s life changes forever.
I didn’t want to say too much about the ending of the book. There are some good twists and turns that will make you get goosebumps and say, “whoa!” I LOVED this book and I’m very very very happy that there is a second book coming out. I can’t wait to read it.
The book is very well written. There is enough detail that you can picture where you’re at and who you’re looking at but not so much that you get overwhelmed. To me that makes a great book.
Even if you’re not into vampire books I would encourage you to try “ReVamped”.
