My Thoughts-
I recently finished reading “Abducted” by Janice Cantore. it’s the second book in the Pacific Coast Justice Series. I never read the first one in this series and I felt a little lost at times to some of the back stories being brought up, but not enough lost to not enjoy this book. Carley Edwards is a police officer who recently was divorced because of a cheating husband and also recently is back on the streets keeping Las Playas safe with her partner, Joe.
One night while on duty they get a calling telling them something is wrong with Joe’s wife and that they need to get to the hospital as soon as possible. It seemed she was having an allergic reaction to something but they didn’t know what and things were looking grim. As a precaution they also brought in Joe’s 4 month old boy to make sure he was ok. Someone broke into the hospital and stole Joe’s little boy and Carley is determined to get him back safely. During this time her and her husband are working at getting back together. They both have started attending church and both have asked Jesus in their lives. They are learning about forgiveness, trust and support.

I really loved this book. I actually want to go out now and get the first book, “Accused” and read more. The author has a great way of making you fall in love with the characters and get attached. I found myself holding my breath each time they were getting so close to saving the baby and then missing him again. I cried when Carley and her ex-husband finally shared their true feeling and hurts. And I rejoiced when things started to work out for everyone in the book. I look for to the next & last book in this series, I’m sure I’ll be reading it too.

I would recommend this book to those who love a good crime book, romance, all with a Christian prospective. A fast paced easy read.
