SEAL-TIGHT review (waterproof cast covering)

My Thoughts-
When I ruptured my Achilles tendon I was forced into sponge baths, which meant I was feeling unclean ofter and after working out I was even worse. I was then introduced to a company called SEAL-TIGHT by a fellow blogger. Once I read through their site I knew it was a product I must try! It comes in a cardboard box and has a vinyl like boot covering and a plastic ring that holds rubber diaphragm in the center.

“Don’t fumble with plastic bags and tape to make a cast waterproof — use SEAL-TIGHT coverings instead. The key is the SEAL-TIGHT watertight seal – a flex-seal rubber diaphragm that slips easily over the cast and fits your leg or arm squeegee-tight.”

Although this product is recommend for a plaster cast I decided to use it on my air-boot, as I wasn’t allowed to take it off, not even for a shower. It’s a bit harder to get it over my boot then it would be with a cast so I needed some help. Once the boot was on the rubber like material clinged right to my leg and there was no leaks. I’ve been using mine for 3 weeks now and have had no issues with leaking and the seal tight rubber part does not hurt my leg either. I finally felt “human” again being able to take a shower and follow my doctor’s instructions.

I would totally recommend SEAL-TIGHT to anyone who has had an injury that cannot get wet. They sell leg, arm, knee/elbow and wound coverings. It is latex free, lead free and guaranteed the life of the cast. I love that they stand by their product, makes it easier to trust using it with such a complicated injury. ANd I love that it WORKS!
