8. Tell us a bit about your family!
My mom- She has always been there for me when I needed her. She is a true mom. I love spending HOURS talking to her on the phone and I miss being able to see her whenever I want. She is amazing with numbers and words. Growing up my mom owned a restaurant that we all loved eating at. She made the best tenderloins I have ever tasted.
Right now she is going through a very tough time. She broke her leg back in March and is still trying to recover from it, there has been a lot of complications and I really wish I could make her feel better. I love her so much.
My dad (I call him pa)- He’s always been a hard worker, putting in many hours at work, yet always finding the time to play with us. He has a sickness now that prevents him from working, but if he could I know he would love to be back at work, or maybe he’s glad for the forced retirement. Growing up my dad was always in community plays. I think he’s the reason why I wanted to be on Broadway. My dad also like writing songs. One of my favorite songs he ever wrote was the one he wrote for me on my 16th birthday. I love my pa, he’s goofy, crazy and he’s my pa.
My brother- growing up I couldn’t stand being around my brother. We had to share a room, he wanted to follow me everywhere I went. Yet, if someone would pick on him I would try to do something to protect him. He was a brilliant kid in school, always straight “A’s” and was reading Stephen King books by grade 2. I love my bro and still always want to protect him from hurt, but I know he’s an adult now and he can take care of himself.
My husband- I met him at Moody Bible Institute. From the first time I met him I knew I wanted to marry him. He was everything I was looking for in a husband. He loves music, likes a lot of the same things I do and is Canadian. I had this weird dream I would marry a Canadian someday and he was “perfect”. I love his family too. Chris is a hard worker, just like my dad. He can’t do anything half-hearted, he puts his whole self into it.
My oldest child- Lee, is 6 years old but looks like she could be 8 or 9 years old. She acts and learns like a 8 year old as well. She’s super smart and talented. She loves to dance and hope to be able to be part of competition dancing soon. She’s a neat freak and a perfectionist and takes things with caution. I love everything about her.
My Youngest- Moo is 3 years old. She has tons of spunk and has no fear in anything. She learns things in her own timing but is not too far behind where she needs to be. She has been like this since she was born. She doesn’t want me to teach her, she just figures things out and one day shows me that she can do it. She amazing me. I love her and love that she makes life an adventure.
