WARNING this movie will make you cry. It touched me a lot.
The story starts with a couple who had been wanting a child so badly but found out that wont ever happen. They are at an adoption agency sharing the story of a boy they took care of.
After finding out they can’t have children they then try to work their way through the grieving process by creating a list of the qualities their child would of had if they had one. They took those qualities and buried them in their garden. That night a storm came and the next thing they know they are taking care of a ten year old boy named, Timothy. He has leaves growing out of his legs and the Green family tries their very best to hide them from the world so that he can live a “normal” life. Each time Timothy does something from their list he looses a leaf. I won’t tell anymore, but to say you need to watch it to find out all that happens.
Being a family that struggled to get pregnant and had a miscarriage this movie really hit my heart. I felt the Green family’s pain, I wanted to hold Cindy Green and tell her I understood. And then watching them try their way around being parents to a ten year old had me laughing, it’s just like typical parents, the mess ups and the downfalls. I felt the acting was great, the story line was awesome and the whole movie is definitely a MUST SEE. It’s a movie I would recommend and I think I would even like my kids watch it with us.
