My Thoughts-
Deadly Devotion (Book 1 in the Port Aster Secrets series) by Sandra Orchard
**warning- may contain spoilers**

Katie Adams bursts into the police station demanding former FBI agent, Tom Parker, find her friend’s killer. The paper has announced Daisy Leacock’s death as an accident but Katie knows that isn’t the case. Tom has his hands tied as his boss tells him the case is closed and they are NOT going to look into her death anymore. Katie won’t take “no” for an answer and goes out doing investigating herself. This lands her in some trouble and Tom is there to save her. Soon he finds himself falling in love with Katie and believing she may be right. But at what cost will it be to him? What cost will it be to her? Someone wants Katie to be quiet, but why?

I LOVED this book. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. You want to know who killed Daisy, you believe Katie. You want to see if both Katie and Tom will get over their stubborn ways and trust each other, maybe fall in love. And just when you think you know what is going to happen there is a twist.

Intertwined into the book is talk of faith, of God and who He is. Both Katie and Tom struggle with this but both are searching. Daisy had a strong faith and they wanted to know more of the why she did and why God would let her die.

This book is a page turner, you won’t want to put it down. I’m thankful their will be more in this series, as I want to know more, want to see more adventure. If you love Christian, romance, mystery books I think you’ll love this book too.
