“Deadly Disclosures” (Dinah Harris Mystery) by Julie Cave
I’m not sure how I got this book on my kindle, I was looking around at books that I haven’t had a chance to read on my kindle and this one was on there. I’m glad it was. This book was intense and fun to read.
Dinah Harris was a former FBI agent, turned to professor. That was until one day Ferguson called her and needed her help to solve a high profile missing persons case. Thomas Whitfield, the Secretary of the Smithsonian, is missing. They must find him before it’s too late. Little did they know how deep this investigation would get them in. People are dying, but why? On top of that Harris is depressed and sinking into a really bad place.
Through out the book you want to know what was happening and why. I couldn’t put the book down and would read for hours. I also loved the repeated Christian story, the Gospel, that was presented throughout the book. It was presented in ways to reach each persona and help them understand.
The author does a great job drawing you into the characters’ lives. I really fell in love with Harris and I was happy to see that there is a sequel to this book. Although “Deadly Disclosures” does not leave you in suspense, it’s nice to know we have another book with a lot of familiar characters.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast paced, Christian Suspense mystery. I look forward to the next book.
