Lee and Moo’s Thoughts-
SOFIA THE FIRST: READY TO BE A PRINCESS DVD- coming September 10th
My girls loved helping with my last DVD review and many of my readers commented on how they loved hearing about the movie and getting a kids view of the movie. So for this Sophia DVD I asked my girls to help me out again.
bassgiraffe– Please tell me about this DVD. What is on it and who is Sophia?
Lee (age 7)- Sophia is a princess. There are 5 episodes. There is a princess school and princes. James(Sophia’s brother) played ball in the castle and he wasn’t allowed to and he broke the window.
Moo (age 4)- Sophia is a princess. She has a lot of adventures. Like the Golden Rings Circus, SOphis said she did it to help James. But that made him sad.
bassgiraffe– What is your favorite episode?
Lee– The one where Mrs Miggins asked every princess to help to carry books to her house because her wagon broke and Sophia helped carry the books and her gown got messy and she was late for the Princess test. The episode was called “The Princess Test”.
Moo– “Blue Ribbon Bunny”
bassgiraffe– Why do you like it?
Lee– Because how Sophia helped Mrs Miggins, it was very nice of her. And the episode was very funny.
Moo– Because the bunny, Clover, sings a “Blue Ribbon Bunny” song. It’s very funny. (Then she sings me the song to show me how funny it is)
bassgiraffe– Who should watch the movie?
Lee– Lots of different kids, even teenagers. I even think adults would like it too.
Moo– Little girls, they can be a princess too.
bassgiraffe– The DVD came with a Dress-up play set with wardrobe. Can you tell me about it?
Lee– It comes with 6 outfits to dress up a paper Sophia. Sophia and the outfits all fit into the wardrobe, that’s so awesome.
bassgiraffe– Both girls love to play together with the Dress-up set. They have spent hours playing together with it. They even use other Sophia toys with it.
I know we all love Sophia the First and the morals they teach to our kids. To love each other, be honest and use your imagination.
