“Bobby” a short story by Scott Zavoda
Bobby is in a wheel chair. Him and his brother, Danny, one day go out fishing. But before they go fishing we hear stories about Bobby’s chair, there are strange things that happen to the owners of this wheel chair. We also learn about how poorly Bobby is treated by other people and kids. Once they are at the fishing pond more strange things happen. Events that will send chills down your spine.
I LOVED this short story, it made me wish it was a full-length book. The story is approximately 13,000 words long, but gives you enough descriptions and story to make you feel like you were there with Bobby and Danny. The story gave me the creepy crawlies. You won’t believe what happens at the pond and with the chair. The book cover, with the wheel chair at the pond’s edge really gives me chills now that I read this story.
If you are looking for a really great quick read I would recommend “Bobby”. You wont look at a blue wheel chair the same, you won’t approach the water front the same either. This is for the reader who loves to be scared by things that go bump in the night. I’m a new fan of this author and cant wait to read more of his short stories.
