My Thoughts-
Rufus and Ryan Go to Church!” by Kathleen Long Bostrom Illustrated by Rebecca Thornburgh

Ryan is a little boy who goes to church. He brings his stuffed monkey named, Rufus. He shows Rufus what it’s like to go to church. He teaches him things like praying and singing. As well as teaching him about meeting people at church and how to behave while at church.

This book is intended for ages 2-5. It’s written to help introduce your child to going to church and what they will be doing. I found it matched how our church works, which is perfect for my kids. My oldest is 7 and she had fun reading the book to her sister who is 4. Both girls loved how cute the monkey was and even talked about how the story was like going to their church.

I loved this book. It’s cute, short and captures my kids’ attention. I would recommend this book with any kids in their life, their own kids, grand-kids, Sunday school teachers, church libraries… It’s a great book to have in your collection. I know my kids loved the book and want “Rufus and Ryan Say Their Prayers”. I’m sure it will be another great book to help them understand praying and how to do it as a child.
