Andrea’s Thoughts-
Jake and The Never Land Pirates: Never Land Rescue DVD

I watched some of this new Disney movie with my children, Bill and Beth. First there is the feature presentation of “Never Land Rescue” of approximately 50 minutes. Then there are four additional episodes, plus several extras. Jake workes to save the Forever Tree and thus save Never Land from disappearing. A fairy light guides Jake along the right path, as Izzy, Cubby and Skully save their island from being plundered. Bill and his friend Marty really liked the pirate songs, and the sillyness of Captain Hook and his clumsy crew. All of us would get up and dance during the songs and music videos.

This movie is a good mixture of magic, fairies, pirates, villians and heros, and great for the family movie night. Themes of friendship, family and fidelity are present.

Each of the episodes start with a song that introduces the main characters and make the kids want to get up and dance. Also, Jake the Pirate asks the viewers to join his crew and say the pirate password. The interaction is fun for the kids and enjoyable for the parents.

My children really enjoyed watching this new Disney move and it appeals to boys and girls from age three to five or a bit older (I think my seven year old niece would like this movie too).

Thanks for the opportunity to review the movie.
