“The Daniel Cure: The Daniel Fast Way to Vibrant Health” By Susan Gregory and Richard J. Bloomer
I was interested in reading this book and seeing what it was all about because I’m always looking for healthy ways to eat and ways to stay on focus with God. “The Daniel Cure” uses the Daniel Fast.
The book is cut up into three different sections. The first couple of chapters are the practical use of the Danial Fast, the purpose of it and what you are to expect. The Second part is the Meal planning and recipes. And the last part is the devotional section.
After reading through the introductions I went to the meal planning and recipes. I did not do the full fast but I did look over the whole book. The main part of the fast is cutting out animal meat/proteins. The recipes provide you with protein enriched foods without using meat. And for someone needing extra protein they have meal replacements with added protein in them. I can honestly say the shakes sound extremely yummy. The rest of the meals require commonly found foods and are easy to prepare and make.
The last part of the book is the devotional. Each day starts with a Bible verse, then a practical application you can use for the day and your life. Then each day ends with a prayer you can use. I found this section very thought provoking and useful for my life.
If you’re needing to boost your health and or your personal devotion to God. I would recommend “The Daniel Cure.”
