“Muppets Most Wanted” is out in theaters TODAY!! It’s packed full of special guest stars and cameos. Special stars such as Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, and Tina Fey.
The movie starts where the last movie ended. The Muppets decided to go on a world tour with their show. They hire Dominic Badguy (Ricky Gervais) to be their tour manager. While in Europe Kermit is slapped with a mole and mistaken for the evil and most dangerous frog, Constantine. Kermit is through into a Russian prison guarded by Nadya (Tine Fey), he needs to find a way out. Meanwhile Constantine convinces the Muppets that he is Kermit with a cold. They don’t know it but he’s working with Dominic to steal the Royal Jewels of England.
I’ve been a HUGE Muppet fan since I can remember. I loved watching the Muppet show and singing and dancing with them. I wanted to be a Muppet or at least meet them, give them hugs and get their autographs. My favorite movie to this day is the original Muppet Movie. The one movie that was my least favorite was the sequel to that movie, “The Great Muppet Caper”. For some reason I never really liked that movie, I really didn’t like the part where there were these synchronized swimmers in a pool and Miss Piggy comes out on a shell all dressed fancy. I explain this because before going to see “Muppets Must Wanted” I was worried that it would be the same as before. And in the opening of “Muppets Most Wanted” there is a part where there are synchronized swimmers and Miss Piggy comes out on a shell. I groaned, “Oh no”. But then I was pleasantly surprised. I LOVED the movie. The whole movie had tons of through backs to the older movies. Even revisiting the some “Together Again” from “Muppets Take Manhattan”, a song I love.
If you love the Muppets I think you will love this movie. It’s fun and is perfect for the whole family to enjoy together. My kids loved it and asked if we can go see it again and when it will be out on Blu-ray. They also want us to pick up the CD soon so they can sing the songs in the car.
If you go see it please come back here and let me know what you think.
