My Thoughts-
“Samantha Sanderson On the Scene” book 2 By Robin Caroll

I read book #1 in this series for fun, then I read this book for a review. If you want to go more in-depth with the characters I would recommend reading the first book before reading this book. However you can read them out of order and still enjoy them.

Samantha (Sam) Sanderson is in the 7th grade, she on the school newspaper and the cheer-leading squad. Her hopes is to one day be a famous reported like her mother. Her dad is on the police force, which sometimes gives her the in scoop for a story but also sometimes gets her in trouble with her dad when she gets information without his knowledge or in unethical ways.

In “On the Scene” someone in her school is being bullied. Sam asks to write a feature on anti-bullying for her school’s newspaper. She also hopes that while doing research about bullying she is able to find out who is behind the bullying letters to her friend. Of course she gets into a lot of mischief while trying to solve the case but her mom is there to stand behind her.

I’m loving this book series from faithgirlz! They are perfect stories for pre-teens and a bit older. Sam and her best friend are always seeking God’s will in each circumstance and asking for guidance from their Sunday school teacher. These stories take you on an adventure and you really feel like you become part of the book.

I look forward to more stories about Samantha (Sam) Sanderson. I’m sure they will be just as adventurous as these first two have been.
