“Time Together: Me and Mom” and “Time Together: Me and Dad” by Maria Catherine and Illustrated by Pascal Campion are two really great books to add to your library collection. Our kids seems to devour books and we’re always looking for new ones to read together as a family for bedtime.
Each book talks about what a child can do to spend time with each parent. I was worried the books would stereo type the gender but I was happily surprised that they really showed a good mix of actives for both mom and dad. In fact a lot of the actives are the same, just called something different depending of which parent they are will.
For an example- For daddy time they have “fairy tale time”. The dad is sitting down reading his daughter a book. For the mommy time they have “cozy cuddle time”. The mom is sitting down reading her daughter a book.
The illustrations are really cute int his book too. Simple and sweet.
Don’t know what to get mom or dad for Mother’s Day/Father’s Day or their birthday? Maybe you could get them a book to read to you. I’d suggest “Time Together: Me and Mom” and “Time Together: Me and Dad” as a great books to start with.
