My Thoughts-
“Town Haunts” #book 2 in the Anna Nolan mystery series by by Cathy Spencer

I never read the first book in their series but that didn’t prevent me from understanding who people were and what was going on in this second book. In fact this book makes me want to read the first book now. I’ve fallen love with the characters and with this small Canadian town of Crane.

The story involves Anna Nolan and her two best friends, May and Erna. There is a new store in town run by two new people to the town, sister and brother duo, Tiernay and Greg. The story is a massage and mystic they place. Tiernay believes she can speak to the dead and cleanse the bad spirits from places. Sherman Mason comes to her to find out what she can do about what he believes is his dead wife’s spirit that came to talk to him. She decides to hold a séance to talk to, Evie, the dead wife and see what she is wanting. After this there is something haunting the town, people are getting hurt and are in danger. Can they find the source? Is it Evie out for revenge? Will the three ladies be safe from harm?

The book took me into the crazy town of Crane and all the citizens in it. I felt like I was part of them. The writer did an excellent job describing how the town is set up, looks like and feels. The characters in the book feel like real people and that I’m part of it all.

I can’t wait for the next book in this series and I can’t wait to purchase the first book and find out more about Anna, May and Erna and all the other people of the town of Crane. This book is a perfect one to read just before Halloween, it’s spooky and gave me goosebumps. I wanted to hide under my bed, lock my doors and window and hope nothing can get in. It’s that spooky.
