My girls are HUGE fans of anything Monster High. Ever since they heard about the new movie, “Monster High: Freaky Fusion” was coming out they have been counting down the day. We even invited a good friend over for a viewing party where I put together small gift bag filled with Monster High goodies.
Before I go on, this is not a sponsored review. I purchased this movie and the items in the gift bag myself. We just love Monster High so much that I wanted to share about it to my readers.
The movie introduces us to the family trees of the Monster High characters. However, Frankie doesn’t have much to talk about in her class because her parents won’t talk about it. Monster High also gets new students, Hybrids, they are a mix of two type of monsters. The Hybrids have been to many schools and have left because they aren’t welcomed, they are too different. The Monster High students happen to go back in time and when traveling back get fussed together. As an example, a mix of Lagoona Blue and Jinafire Long, they then have to figure out how to use their talents together. The Hybrids are perfect for helping them work through their challenges. In the end every thing works out and there are new friends/characters at Monster High.
One reason I always love Monster High movies is that they teach important lessons. In Freaky Fusion we learn that it’s ok to be different, that you are important no matter what you can do or who you are. We also learn that if we work together we can do things we never thought possible. This movie sends such a great positive message.
My kids loved this movie and have asked to watch it a few times since we bought it a week ago. There is a new movie coming out in the Spring of 2015, “Haunted”, we can’t wait to see it. I almost forgot to mention, there is a new Monster High Magazine out. It talks all about the new movie and even has posters in it. I hope there will be more of these too.
