My Thoughts-
What are PomTree crafts? They are a peel and stick craft with no mess. These crafts don’t need scissors, or clue or staple. You just peel the backing off and stick them together according to the directions provided.

PomTree has released these five following mess-free crafts-
*Felt Puppy & Bone Pillow Puff™ Kit ($13)
*Mommy & Baby Owl Pom Pals Kit ($13)
*Felt Kitty & Mouse Pillow Puff ($13)
*Felt Puppy & Bone Pillow Puff ($13)
*Pom Jewelry Kit ($10)
All these can be found at Toys R Us Canada.

We had the opportunity to try out the Owl Kit, Kitty Kit, and Jewelry Kit. I did the two animal kits with each of my girls and the jewelry kit with both of them together. Below are our thoughts of the craft projects.

My 8 year old and I did the Owl Kit together while we waited for her ballet class to start. The great thing about these kits is we could grab the set and not have to worry about glue, tape or scissors. Once the kit was open we used the instructions provided to put together our Mommy and Baby Owls. One thing we did struggle with was peeling the backing off each piece to reveal the sticky parts to put it together. It was definitely a job that I had to do. However once the backing was peeled off my daughter was able to easily place each piece where they were to go. We were amazed at how BIG the googly eyes were for mommy owl, it was so cool. We love this craft and will be getting more to do on rainy days.

I did the kitty and mouse craft with my 5 year old. This one was simpler to put together and peel the backings of than the owl craft. The directions were extremely helpful in completing this craft. My daughter wanted me to peel the backings and she wanted to place each piece. The final creation is so cute and my daughter is so proud of it.

We did the jewelry craft together. This one doesn’t have any detailed instructions and we did have some issues figuring out what to make and how to make it. Then we realized it’s just something fun to do together, it doesn’t matter if it isn’t “perfect”. The first thing we made was puffy rings, these were easy, you just peel and stick the puff onto the foam rings provided. The other craft we made was some necklaces and key rings. We had to punch out the small holes in the foam shapes, then thread them on the string provided and the key rings provided. I think we came up with some great ideas. This project has many many pieces and will make so much more after today.

We love PomTree Crafts. They are an all-in-one project with no cutting or glue. These will be perfect for our family on rainy days, long trips and holidays. I looked over the PomTree website and they have MANY other crafts available to pick from. My kids and I will be getting more project to do for the future.

I would recommend these for kids ages 3 and up, but with the help of an adult. I think it’s a great way to spend more time with your children. It’s something fun you can do together and then look at to remember the fun you had creating them. The only thing I do want to say is these are crafts, not toys. They aren’t meant to be roughed around, as they will fall apart if slept with, played with or left in the playroom to play with.
