My 5 year old has been sad that she can’t read. She wants to be able to read a Bible like her big sister does. We were excited to have the chance to review “The Sweetest Story Bible for Toddlers” By Diane Stortz, illustrated by Sheila Bailey.
The cover is cute and she loves holding on to it. The Bible stories are short and I’m able to help her read through it. She doesn’t get all the words but because the stories are condensed down she is able to try to read some of it on her own and doesn’t mind when I help.
There are 1-3 sentences per page. Starting from the creation story and ending with Jesus’ resurrection. Each page has a beautiful illustration that helps me daughter figure out what the story is saying.
This book is perfect for families with young girls who want to start learning the stories of the Bible. They are short and sweet. Perfect for bedtime devotions together. The illustrations make it nice to allow your child to “read” the story on their own when you’re done with devos with them.
