Lee’s Thoughts-
I asked my 9 year old daughter if she would like to read “Catie Conrad: How to Become the Most (un)Popular Girl in Middle School” “Desperate Diva Diaries” series #2 by Angie Spady. She was very excited to help me read it and tell me her thoughts. Even though she is 9 years old she reads at a 11 year old level and sometimes higher. She loves graphic comics and this book is sort of written in this kind of way, with images through out each page. Below is her review.

The book is about Catie, she’s the main character. She’s really good at creating clothing but she is really bad at everything else. Sometimes there is a bubble on the page called “prayer list”. It is things she wants to pray about, for example- she prayed for her best friend because they got into an argument.

The main thing I learned in this book is how to pray to God. I really liked the book because it was kind of weird and that made it fun to read. I hope to read the first book now that I read the second. I would recommend everyone read the first book so you don’t get too confused or lost on who people are and what is going on.

I would recommend this book to kids ages 9-12. My suggestion to the author is if you write another book, please don’t have two girls that look the same on the same page, I was confused at first.
