My Thoughts-
“Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9”, a Buck Denver film, from VeggieTales creator PHIL VISCHER.
Buck Denver and his friends are back. This time they are in the future. Buck and his friends work for a Christian ministry, at the call center. They send out tote bags and help answer questions. Buck feels like there is more he should be doing. He believes God has called him to do BIG things (his poster in his offer says so). He convinces his boss and friends to let him go on a mission. On his mission he learns a valuable lesson, that God want him, he can do anything and it’s a big help for God. In the end he learns that no matter what he is doing, as long as he is serving God to the best of his abilities, he’s doing what God wants.

I didn’t watch this with my girls, as they were asleep when I had the chance to watch it. However I KNOW they would have loved it and wanted to watch it over and over again. It was funny, had the star wars/star trek feeling in parts of it, and it had a great lesson for them to learn.

This is a perfect short film (around 40 minutes long) for your family to watch together. I can see it leading to great conversations about what we can do to serve God and what we think He wants us to do. I know when we have a chance to watch it as a family we will be sitting down and talking with our girls about ways we serve God, big and small.
