We are very excited and feel blessed to get to host another Disney sponsored party, in connection with MomSelect. This year’s theme is a Preschool Playdate. This was a perfect party for my little 2.5 year old and his friends. And my older kids had fun too.
The fun began when we received our box. Below is a video of my kids opening it. As you can see, they LOVE their box.
We had our party today. The party started off with snacks. We provided fresh fruits and veggies and made a rice crispy Mickey head (cake pan we got from last year’s party). And water in Mickey Mouse cups to drink out of. Almost all the food was gone by the end of the party. We also had Disney Cars Glad bags to put our leftovers in.
We next did craft time. The supplies were provided to us by I Love to Create. The kids picked from several Disney characters and colored them. They then cut them out and glued them to paper bags. We ended up using glue sticks instead of the craft glue provided so it would dry faster for faster play time. There was also puffy paint provided in our kits but with the kids being so small I didn’t want to deal with the mess it could cause. I plan on using the puffy paint with my kids later to make other fun crafts.
Next was game time. Last year I came up with the idea of a bean bag toss with a Mickey head. It was a hit so we did it again this year. The kids loved this game and wanted to play it again later during the party. We also played pin the smile on Mickey, this one was funny to watch and see where the smiles ended up.
HP was one of the sponsors to our party. They provided HP Photo Booth Strips. We’ve always done a photo booth but this added a fun element to it. With an app you can download to your smart phone it will take 4 photos and lay it out to be printed on the special paper. It’s a great way to send home some memories with our guests.
We ended our party by reading a scratch and sniff book from Banfield Pet Hospital, “My Very, Very Smelly Breath”. It’s about dogs and the health of their mouth. One of the scratch and sniff pages smelled like dog breath, yuck. They kids loved giggling with smelling each page and hearing the book being read to them.
Speaking of sending home items with our guests. Each child received a hat, either Sofia the First or Jake and the Neverland Pirate. They also got a Disney Juniors bag that we filled with Lion Guard poster & tattoos, a cellphone sticker that goes on the back of your phone and can hold your important cards in, a map of Disney, and a few animals toys from Kilimanjaro Safari. All this was provided to us by Disney and the sponsors.
I want to give a big THANK YOU to Disney, MomSelect and the following sponsors; HP/MyPrintly, I Love to Create, Banfield Pet Hospital, GLAD, all laundry, and Nesquik. The party was a huge success. The kids all walked away with big smiles on their faces.
Here are just a few more photos from the day-
