Vendetta (The Nikki Boyd Files) by Lisa Harris..
I just finished reading this book and I can honestly say I did enjoy it. It was a little hard to get into and a little chaotic at first, but once you got the idea it was a great read. I really hope this is just a beginning book in a series or trilogy because there are storylines that are not finished and I would like to know what happens. I was unable to predict what the outcome was and I really like that, although it did throw me off since I wasn’t expecting it. I am excited to see a future for Nikki Boyd. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a more innocent thriller, and young readers as well since young girls can relate to the main plot.
No one needs to push Nikki Boyd to excel on the Tennessee Missing Person Task Force. The case of her own missing sister, still unsolved after ten years, is the driving force in her work. When a Polaroid photo of a missing girl shows up at a crime scene, Nikki quickly recognizes similarities to the past. The closer she gets to the abductor, the more she feels that this case is getting personal, and that she is not the hunter at all–but actually the one being hunted.
