“Would a Worm Go on a Walk” by Hannah C. Hall and illustrated by Bill Bolton.
This is a silly and cute book that teaches kids about how we’re all different from each other but still made perfect in the eyes of God. The book explains this by using animals. For an example They ask if I worm would go for a walk with tiny shoes. The answer is “no”, because they weren’t made for walk. Or would penguin like to jump out of a plane. The answer is “no”, penguins weren’t built for flying. The examples are so silly both my girls were laughing out loud. The illustrations are totally cute too. My oldest loves the penguins. At the end of the book it explains that God’s creation is exactly how He wanted it and that is was good. He also created us to be who we are.
What a great way to teach kids that it’s ok to be different. It also teaches them about creation and God’s plan for creation. I would say this would be a great book for families who interact with kids ages 3-10. My oldest likes to read it to her siblings and my youngest loves to laugh at how silly it is.
