I received 5 books to review. All are perfect to read with your toddler. Not only are they books to read to your child, but they are also interactive books. They allow your child to trace a track, lift and pull flaps and so much more. Below I will talk about each book and how you can interact with your child.
“Up, Up, Up in the Tree” (Ages 3 and up). This book has little peek holes on each page that create an image on one page and that same small image is also on the next page. There is also lift the flaps on each page. There is a ton of interaction in this boo. There is counting, learning about over and under, sizes, colors and so much more. We loved this book. The more times I read it, the more I discovered about this book. Its definitely not a book you will get bored reading to your child over and over. A plus for me is how cute the images are, I love squirrels. It’s cute, it’s fun, it’s interactive.
“Trace Race: Things That Go” (Ages 3 and up). Each page take you and your child to different places in cute rhyme. Each page, including the cover, have a cute out groove on them to allow your child to trace a path from one page to the next. I love the simplicity of the images on each page. I also love that it’s a book I can hand over to my 3.5 year old and he can make up his own story a the while tracing the path.
“Push-Pull-Turn: Dump Truck Gets to Work!”, “Fire Truck to the Rescue!”, and “Up in the Air!” (Ages 4 and up) . I’m including all three books in one because they are all similar in how you and your child interacts with them. In these books you push, pull and turn different things on each page. I honestly wish I could have these books into each and everyone of my reader’s hands. I loved them so much that I didn’t even want to share with my son, I was having too much fun. Up in the Air! is all about things you can find in the air, planes, jets, hot air balloons, helicopters and rockets. We learn with your child all about how they work and what they can do. Dump Truck Gets to Work! is a book all about work trucks. Your child can swing a crane, scoop dirt, mix cement and so much more. “Fire Trucks to the Rescue! Your child learns about what the different parts of the firs truck does and even gets to lift the ladder and spray water.
All 5 of these books give your child hours and hours and hours of fun and learning. I can almost bet you will learn things too. The only thing I would suggest is keeping these books for reading time with your child. There are a lot of flaps and pieces that can be ripped out if your child isn’t gentle.
