“Fate’s Design” Book review
My Thoughts-
Last night I finished reading “Fate’s Design” by Lola James. It’s a romance, vampire book. It’s funny because I hate romance books and vampire books, but I LOVED this book. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I was “mad” at the end as the author leaves you at a huge cliff-hanger.
While reading this book I would catch myself holding my breath just wanting to concentrate on the full story and not want to turn to something bad. The story starts with introducing us to twin girls, Morgan and Megan. They may look a like but they are totally different. The girls make a trip to Italy and their lives change forever. Megan falls in love with a very handsome man named, Alex. And Morgan returns to California to continue to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer. With them being separate from each other they learn more about how much they are connected with each other. And Megan learns that her dreams mean more then just being dreams. She learns about her “fate” is in life and what her sister has to do with it too.
This book made me laugh, cry, sit on the edge of the bed with fear and so much more. There are vampires, witches, guardians… Plus there are some really hot sexual scenes. You get to travel around the world, dream about seeing/living in high priced places.
This book has so much in it. You’ll not want to put it down. I can’t wait for the next book to come out, in fact when I finished I yelled, “I want the next book NOW!!”
My words to the author- “Thanks for keeping me up late at night, on the edge of my seat and breathless. “Fate’s Design” is an awesome book.”

Couch to 5K- The end!?!
I am one run away from finishing the Couch to 5K program. This week is 30 minute runs. Remember back in my last C25K post me saying 3 and 8 minute runs seemed impossible? Well, the 30 minutes are hard but I’m loving them. Never in a million years would I have thought of myself as a runner. Now I am in LOVE with running. My next goal is a 10K that I will run in August and then after that I hope to run a half marathon in January 2013. 9 weeks ago I would have thought this crazy, now I know I can do it.
I’ve been telling people that there are no excuses. I have tried my best to live this during my journey with the Couch to 5K training. I have ran in rain, snow, high winds, cold and heat. I’ve run uphill against the wind, on days that I didn’t get much sleep and on days I felt like I didn’t have time. I told myself it’s only 30 minutes and then I’m done, I can relax.
I wanted to share a funny story about today too-
Would I recommend the Couch to 5K program? YES! But you need to be committed, you need to get rid of the excuses in your life and you need give yourself a goal. Running is hard when starting out, you’re going to dread it at first but if you’re truly committed you’ll get stronger and better.

“Swipe” Book review
My Thoughts-
“Swipe” By Evan Angler
The story takes place in the distant future, The United States is now known as the American Union. At the age of 13 everyone get the Mark, the mark allows you to shop, to health care, get a job and gives you “freedom”.
Five years ago, Logan Langly’s sister died while getting the mark. Since then he has been scared of getting the Mark and also believes he is being followed/watched. His parents think he has lost his mind and has been seeking help for him. A few months before his 13th birthday he meet a new girl named, Erin. He dad works for the government. She happens to stumble upon his highly confidential paper work. There she learns about a boy named Peck and the crimes he has committed on the government and the Union. Erin and Logan put two and two together and discover his stalker is connected with Peck. The story takes you on their adventures in trying to find this guy and keep Logan safe. The story ends in a crazy twist and then leaves you hanging. thank goodness the sequel, “Sneak” will be out in the Fall of 2012.
I loved this book. It keeps you wanting more and you fall in love with the characters and the story line. It’s definitely a perfect book for ages 14+, boys or girls. I totally recommend this book and hope to get one for my Church’s library. I think the only thing I didn’t like about this book was the fact it ended and it ended leaving me hanging. I so cannot wait for the Fall.
