Teethease– review & giveaway

ABOUT-
Rock•ease Necklace
“The newest addition to the Teethease collection, Rock•ease emulates modern jewellery fashions with uniquely shaped “rocks.” The Rock•ease necklace is safe for chewing and teething, while the various shapes and textures create a fantastic distraction for babies while breastfeeding. Available in grey marble, sandstone and turquoise.”

My Thoughts-

I am excite to introduce you all to Teethease for many reasons. My first reason is I love it’s a Canadian company. Supporting Canadian companies is important to me. My Second reason is I loved how these looked online I just had to show you.

My first impression after opening the mailing package was how cute the packaging was. It looks sort of like a paint can. If you have older kids they’ll love using it to put their little treasures in.

My second impression was how big the “rocks” where in the Teethease- Rock•ease necklace. I thought it might look kind of sill on me, but after trying it on I saw how cute it looked. It fit perfectly and hung at just the right length. I also love how soft each “rock” feels. It will be perfect for little hands and mouths.

Some other features I love about the Teethease necklaces are they have break-away clasps and they are “made of FDA approved medical grade silicone, free of BPA, PVC, latex, heavy metals, phthalates and meets the highest international safety standards (EN-71).” This gives me peace of mind that my kids are safe chewing on this.

I’m bringing the Rock•ease necklace by Teethease with me on TV this coming month as one of the “perfect” gifts to give your loved one for Valentine’s day. I would also like to point out they also sell many different styles of Teethease Pendant Necklace and Teethease Bangles. So if your loved one would prefer something different then the rock-ease then you have a lot of choices.

Aqua Bottle from green sprouts, a brand by i play., Inc – REVIEW

ABOUT-
Aqua Bottle
“BPA and PVC free! All parts are interchangeable with other green sprouts bottles. 5 different colors bottle with fun print to choose from. Straw top with sliding lid is perfect for toddlers. Includes one replacement straw top. Contoured shape makes bottle easy to hold. Dishwasher safe. Polypropylene with silicone sipper. Capacity: 10 oz. (300 ml). Extra straw pack available!”

My Thoughts-

Our Aqua Bottle from green sprouts, a brand by i play., Inc., came at a perfect time. We were having problems getting Moo to drink any water. We tried several different cups with no luck. The minute she saw her new Aqua Bottle she couldn’t wait to drink from it(must mention that it’s important to stay hydrated, even as kids.). We had a hippo cup and she kept calling it an elephant with no nose. LOL
What I love about this cup is that even though it uses a straw it does not leak. We have had a lot of problems finding a bottle with a straw that didn’t leak, so it’s nice to finally have one that doesn’t. I also love that it has an easy to open and close cover, even Moo has it figured out. And a bonus is it comes with a replacement straw top. I find those get all gunked up and are hard to keep clean, so it’s nice to have a replacement to use once the current one gets all gross. As for quality, I think it’s very sturdy and will hold up for a long time. Did I mention that it’s dishwasher safe? Total bonus!
Over all I am very impressed with our Aqua Bottle from green sprouts. I know I want the giraffe bottle for myself and Lee has asked for the purple bird bottle.

Deluxe Baby Sign Language Kit- review

ABOUT-
“Two years ago, we developed BabySignLanguage.com because of our own frustration as new parents wanting to understand our baby’s needs with fewer tears (from parent and child!) and discovered that sign language was the key! So we set out to help other parents with a whole range of free resources to help them learn sign language and teach it to their children.
Now we are very happy to be introducing our first set of products specifically designed to help you and your baby learn sign language together! Our Deluxe Baby Sign Language kit includes a Baby Sign Language Book, DVD, Flash Cards and super-convenient wall chart so the whole family can share sign language with your child. The set has an introductory price of only $39.95. Imagine fewer tears, except tears of joy, when your baby can sign “Milk” to tell you she is thirsty or “More” if he hasn’t filled his tummy yet!”

My Thoughts-

(This is my kit, I put the white boxes over the poster to avoid others copying it, sorry)

We used sign language with both our girls and when/if I have anymore kids I will be using it too. I really wish I had the resources from BabySignLanguage.com. Although we used sign language we didn’t know a lot of words, so communication was still a bit rough with our little ones.
Sign Language helps you talk with your kids before they can talk. I knew when my kids wanted milk, needed a diaper change or wanted more. They even learned manors by signing please and thank you.
The Baby Sign Language Book would have been extremely handy when they were younger. I love the poster with the common words we use with them everyday. I think i would hang this in the babies room or in the toy room as a reminder of how to sign the words.
The Deluxe Baby Sign Language kit also comes with two books. One of the books is a “how to” book in sign language. It helps you learn the basics and progresses to signing phrases. The other book is like a dictionary with a large amount of words to sign. Both books will come in very handy when another comes along.

The last part I got to review is the set of cards. You can see the photo below as an example. One side is a photo of the word and the other is the actual sign. What I love about these is not only do they teach how to sign but it will also help your child to start to learn to read. I even used this will Lee, my 5 year old as flash cards to learn to read. I love when something has a multiple uses.

CARDS

Over all I am highly impressed with The Deluxe Baby Sign Language kit. I would highly encourage all soon to be parents or new parents to check out this company. And even if your kids are older they still can learn something from this.

water wear baby swim diaper covers- review & giveaway

ABOUT-
“At water wear® we know you want your baby to have fun and be safe while playing in the water and sun. All of our products conform to US health and safety standards.
water wear® is a registered trademark of i play., Inc.
Waterproof swim diaper is made to be worn over a disposable. Snug fitting around the legs and waist. Helps prevent accidents.
water wear® swim diaper covers are waterproof and reusable for leak-proof protection. “

My Thoughts-
I had the chance to review the Tie Swim Diaper Cover from water wear®. My first reaction after opening the package was how totally cute this was. I couldn’t wait to try it on her.
The swim cover fit perfectly. I also love that it has SPF to protect Moo when she’s swimming outside.
You may think this is a bad time of the year to be thinking about purchasing a swim cover but really it’s not. You can go to indoor pools during the winter and you need to have diaper protection. Plus many of you will be traveling during the holidays and there might be a pool at the hotel you stay at. It’s never a bad time to buy a swim diaper.
I love water wear® and Moo does too. In fact she wanted to wear it all day. I give this an A+++! Great Quality, totally cute, and functional.

“But Now You’re Gone” 3 years now

I had a miscarriage May 27th, 2008. I was 12 weeks along. It was a physically tough miscarriage and mentally painful. I got to see my baby when he/she came out and I don’t care what the medical world says, he/she was a baby. He/she had arms, feet, head, eyes, nose…
Below is what I wrote for our lost baby on the day he/she left us. A few weeks later we went to Build-a-Bear and created a bear in the baby’s memory and I put this poem inside with the heart. When I’m sad and missing our baby I hug this bear.

“We wanted you so bad
We dreamed of You
But Now you’re gone.

I dreamed of looking at your face
Of seeing your eye & smile
But now you’re gone

Oh my little baby how I long to hold you
How I long to whisper in your ear, “I love you.”
But you are gone

My heart longs for you
I look forward to the day we get to meet in heaven.
I love you my child.

Love, your mommy(May 27th, 2008)”
