Dapper Snappers- review & giveaway

Dapper Snappers are mom-invented and made in the USA. These are a great alternative to a regular belt which can get in the way for your little one to use the potty or take too much time to remove when changing a diaper.
I was very excited to work with this company as regular kids belts never worked for Lee. She just couldn’t figure out how to undo them. She has the unfortunate problem of being very very tall and slender which means all her pants fall off and she is constantly hearing me say, “pull your pants up”. With Dapper Snappers all you do is loop the belt across the back of the pants and snap it shut. It tightens the pants but your child doesn’t need to learn how to undo or do up a belt. And you don’t have to worry as much about little accidents your little one may have struggling with regular belts.
Dapper Snappers has a lot of colors and designs to pick from. I had fun going through the girls belts and picking a cute purple color for Lee. We even found the purple one looks really cute with other colors like yellow.
Dapper Snappers was very simple to put on Lee’s pants and she had no problems getting her pants down when the time came. She even said that she didn’t have to pull up her pants all day like she use to with her loose fitting pants.
I’m excited to have tried this product and even more excited when I found a small boutique around the corner that is selling them. We will be buying more and even will get some for Moo too. I know my family loves Dapper Snappers and I hope you will try them out too.

“A Perfect Pet for Peyton” book review & giveaway

A Perfect Pet for Peyton” is written by Gary Chapman and Rick Osborne. Rick Osborne, is a well known speaker and author covering Christian parenting. And Gary Chapman is another well known author and speaker, one I know the best through his “5 Love Languages” book.
“A Perfect Pet for Peyton” is a children’s book about two kids, Penny and Peyton, twins, who are celebrating their birthday at Mr. Chapman’s Pet Pal Emporium. There Mr. Chapman finds the perfect pet for each child. Each pet fits what that child’s “love language” is. There friends are with them to celebrate too and each get a pet of their own. For instance, Sofia loves to give hugs and be close to all her friends. Mr. Chapman explains that her love language is “physical touch” and she receives a French Lop Rabbit named, Snuggles, because she loves to touch too.
The book has lots of neat hidden things and games to do throughout. Lee’s favorite was looking for the hidden insects on each page. I loved pointing out each animal and naming them. And with each child in the book we learn about what each Love language is and means. At the end of the book there is a mini quiz to help you determine your child’s love language. Lee is only 5 and ended up saying “yes” to every question, which didn’t help me. But from what I’ve seen of her, her languages would be “gifts” and “physical touch”. I’m going to be reading “The 5 Love Languages of children” next so hopefully it will help me recognize more of what her languages are and help me figure out Moo too.
“A Perfect Pet for Peyton” is a bit longer book then my kids are use to sitting down for and reading all at once. Lee, who is 5, had no problem sitting though it all as long as we played all the games on each page. But Moo wouldn’t last two pages, but she’s only 2.5. I would recommend this book for ages 6-12 because of the length. But Moo did love looking at all the illustrations, and I know she understood some of it. This is one book I am happy to have in my library.

PottyCover- review & giveaway

ABOUT-
PottyCover is a disposable toilet seat cover for children that covers the sides and the front of the toilet, to keep away germs at public rest-rooms. It is made of non-woven fabric coated with a layer of plastic, creating a waterproof barrier between the toilet and the child.”

My Thoughts-
When going out we usually have to bring one of those large potty seats for Moo to use. It’s clunky and hard to carry around, especially when at the mall. When I heard of PottyCover I knew my problems were solved. I love that each cover is individually pack and can fit not only into the diaper bag but my purse too. In fact the pack of six is small enough to fit the whole thing in.
One side of the PottyCover is soft and the other is plastic like. The soft side is very nice for little ones to sit on. I love that the cover, covers the whole toilet. It covers even where your little one’s hands go and where their legs hang down. I know Moo wont be touching any part of the toilet with the cover on.
It took a bit for me to figure out how to get the cover to stay on before Moo would sit on it, but now I have no problems. And throwing it away is nice and easy too.
I am very impressed with PottyCover and will be buying more. I’ve been told it’s being sold in a few stores in Canada but if I can’t find it there I know I can buy it online as well.

TigTagz ID wristbands for kids- review

ABOUT-
TigTagz ID bracelets are perfect for anywhere your child might get lost. Really cute styles for boys and girls are fun to wear and impossible for kids to remove. By putting a TigTagz ID bracelet on your child, you are ensuring that your vital contact information will be with your child should you become separated. You can even add a medical alert! TigTagz ID bracelets are tear-proof, sweat-proof, smear-proof, and water-resistant. When put on correctly, the only way to remove the bracelet is with scissors. Kids LOVE wearing TigTagz bracelets and you can have peace of mind knowing that your child has such important information right on their precious little bodies!”

My Thoughts-
All though we have never lost our children in public(knock on wood), I always worry it will happen. So the idea of TigTagz ID bracelets is awesome.
I was sent a few of their designs, blank. I let the girls pick out their favorite and added our contact info to it. It says “If lost, please call- *put your number here*”. Lee picked the butterfly pattern and Moo loved the princess crown one.
We were told these are tear resistant, so my friend Matt and I took our turn trying to tear one in half. With all our strength we couldn’t rip it. I knew Lee wouldn’t try to take her off and will wear it till it’s totally falling off by itself(which could be a long long time). But Moo is someone who will go to great lengths to try to destroy things. So she was my ultimate test to destruction. And somehow, we’re not sure how, she was able to shred it off her arm. Now, I don’t believe this reflects the quality of the tag, Moo can find a way to destroy anything and everything she gets her hands on. And I do want to add she kept it on ALL day and ripped it off in bed, so it lasted on her longer then I thought which is awesome.
I think the TigTagz ID bracelets is a brilliant idea. I know when Lee is out she wont get lost and if we put one on Moo just before heading out I know it will protect her too.
If you have kids, you know that fear of loosing your kids when you’re in public. So why not use TigTagz ID’s to give you a peace of mind. And for those of you who have kids with special needs, did you know you can get medical alerts on the bracelet too? So cool!

i play. Winterwear- hat review & giveaway

My Thoughts-
I received a girl’s Fleece Earwarmer Cap from i play. From the moment I saw it I couldn’t wait for Moo to go out and play and wear it.
The Fleece cap is extremely soft and is put together very well, the seams are nice and tight. The hat fits Moo’s head very well too. I love that it has a chin strap so it won’t fall off. It also fits down around the back of her neck and covers her forehead. Her head is completely covered and stays warm when outside in the cold, snow, wind.
As you can see from below, Moo looks totally cute in it.
I am very impressed with the quality of the hat from i play.. I also love their whole Winterwear line. I’d love to buy Waterproof Insulated Vest for both Lee and Moo. Knowing the great quality the hat was I know the vest will be amazing too.

“Copy-Kids eat fuits and vegetables” DVD- review & giveaway

ABOUT-
Copy-Kids is a DVD series designed to get very young children excited about eating fruits and vegetables.

Simple. Adorable. It features kids having such a good time eating fruits and veggies, that when children watch it they want to join in.

Featuring well-known pediatrician, Dr. Jay Gordon, this product is a positive approach in the quest to get children eating healthy from the start.”

My Thoughts-
I previewed the Copy-Kids DVD before I showed it to my kids and fell in love with it. The kids on the DVD are so cute and it’s so sweet seeing them love eating fruits & veggies. There are 6 veggies videos and 6 fruit videos. Each video focuses on a specific fruit or veggie and just has footage of young kids enjoying the food. You hear all kinds of giggles, lip smacking and crunching as they eat. Some kids even have fun playing with their food while they eat it.
The next day I decided to have a red bell pepper on hand and turn on the video. I didn’t think my kids would eat the veggie. Moo started eating right away and said “like me mommy” and pointed to the video. Lee was a harder sell on trying it but once she had one taste she wouldn’t stop eating it either.

I love it, my girls love it and I’m sure your kids will love it. I would recommend Copy-Kids DVD to families with younger kids, ages 1-5, as the kids in the video are around that age. It worked with my kids and I can’t wait for more videos with more fruits & veggies.
