My Thoughts-
I had the chance to review the Tie Swim Diaper Cover from water wear®. My first reaction after opening the package was how totally cute this was. I couldn’t wait to try it on her.
The swim cover fit perfectly. I also love that it has SPF to protect Moo when she’s swimming outside.
You may think this is a bad time of the year to be thinking about purchasing a swim cover but really it’s not. You can go to indoor pools during the winter and you need to have diaper protection. Plus many of you will be traveling during the holidays and there might be a pool at the hotel you stay at. It’s never a bad time to buy a swim diaper.
I love water wear® and Moo does too. In fact she wanted to wear it all day. I give this an A+++! Great Quality, totally cute, and functional.

VERY Happy Mail Day
Look what came in the mail on Monday! My friend calls them Fluffy Mail, I call this Happy Fluffy Mail.

10 FuzziBunz Perfect Size diapers. We purchased these from Mother Of a Sale Site for only $12 each.
My dealings with MOAS was amazing. I ordered these diapers on Sept 17th and only paid $5.60 shipping and they arrived on Sept 27th. Only 10 days to get here. MOAS are located in Canada, so that helped with shipping but I’ve had other Canadian items take up to two weeks to get to me. On top of the fast shipping, they were quick to fix a problem before it even started. The sale was for “scratch & dent” diapers from FuzziBunz, they were marked “large” but were really “medium”. They were having some issues with this info and instead of causing any more problems they sent me real “mediums” to insure I got what I wanted. Before I received my order I was asking them MANY questions and they were quick on their response to me.
As for our FuzziBunz. WE LOVE them. I love all the colors they have to pick from and how adjustable they are to fit Moo perfectly. They are easy to load the cloth insert into the pocket and the different rows of snaps made it nice to fit in the legs and tummy so they wont leak. I kind of wish we bought a few more, and will probably look into buying more in the future.

gCloth by gDiapers

So we started using our gCloth on April 3rd and I thought it was about time I let you know how I feel.
After having to wash & dry our gCloth we were finally ready to use them. I was told that the gCloth needed to be “prepped” to work the best because they are made of Hemp. Here’s what gDiapers says:
“For optimum softness, absorbency and sizing, wash gCloth inserts at least six (6) times in hot water without detergent before using. Expect some shrinkage in length. The extra washing is worth the effort, because gCloth inserts become softer and more absorbent the more you wash them.”
It was a pain to do this prep but we knew it was for the best results.
It’s taking a long time getting use to changing baby and rinsing out the diapers at the same time. We do have a bucket in our bathroom to put poopy gCloth in and a wet/dry bag in the baby’s room to put the pee ones in.
Over all I am glad we made the switch. It’s saving us a lot of money from buying gRefills and it’s even better for the environment by not having to flush or throw out the refills.
However I am not happy with how they fit into the diapers. They are MUCH smaller then the disposable inserts and tend to let poop get on the water proof snap-in liner, which in turn is making more work and wearing out our water proof snap-in liners faster causing us to have to buy more. As you can see in the photo below there is a big difference in sizes.
I would still recommend gDiapers to everyone. But just give the warning on the sizing of the gCloth in comparison of the gRefills

Using gdiapers for 2 months now

Well, so we have officially been using gdiapers for two months now and we still love them. We bought size mediums a few days after my last gdiaper post. We have never had a problem with leaks like we did with disposables and they are supper easy to use.
If you follow the instruction video found on gdiaper.com on how to wear the diapers you shouldn’t have leaks. Which has been nice for our daughter’s clothing, no more having to soak and try to get out stains. Also we have 4 size mediums outer shells and 8 washable liners, we wash all them just once a week. (When washing please make sure to fasten up the velcro so it doesn’t snag on other clothes and so the velcro doesn’t wear down as fast.)
Right now we’re buying the disposable liners and sometimes flush the poos and throw out the others. It’s nice knowing that they will biodegrade faster then regular disposables. Once the summer comes and we have enough saved up we will be buying a composter and will compost the pee ones, saving the environment even more.
I love the convenience of these and will not go back. The only problem we are having right now is finding the inserts and when we find them they are a bit high of a price. I guess that’s the price we pay for living in Canada but still. I do want to say that even though the price is a bit high we will never change.
I LOVE gdiapers.

gdiapers

Ok, so we bought a set of gdiapers from a lady on kijiji for only $10. 4 Size small gdipaers outer shells, 7 inner liners, and 10 disposable pads. The disposables should last us two days for now. The lady told me she loved these diapers over any cloth diapers she has tried, even Bare Bottom Services. She was only selling them because they were done having kids and her daughter has moved on to size medium. She told me the 4 outer shells lasted her the week and the 7 inner liners worked for the week too, at the end of the week she throws it all in the laundry and start another week. She sold them cheap because she was hoping someone would buy them, try them and like them enough to start using them. Well her plan worked.
You can either flush, compost or throw out the disposables and the gdiapers site clams they will biodegrade in 50 days. There are only 3 sizes you will need to buy, however I think we’ll only need up to size medium before Maggie will be potty training, but we’ll see.
The size smalls work for Maggie right now but she’s already almost too big for them. Hopefully we can find a set of size medium for a really good price soon.
