“Copy-Kids eat fuits and vegetables” DVD- review & giveaway
ABOUT-
“Copy-Kids is a DVD series designed to get very young children excited about eating fruits and vegetables.
Simple. Adorable. It features kids having such a good time eating fruits and veggies, that when children watch it they want to join in.
Featuring well-known pediatrician, Dr. Jay Gordon, this product is a positive approach in the quest to get children eating healthy from the start.”
My Thoughts-
I previewed the Copy-Kids DVD before I showed it to my kids and fell in love with it. The kids on the DVD are so cute and it’s so sweet seeing them love eating fruits & veggies. There are 6 veggies videos and 6 fruit videos. Each video focuses on a specific fruit or veggie and just has footage of young kids enjoying the food. You hear all kinds of giggles, lip smacking and crunching as they eat. Some kids even have fun playing with their food while they eat it.
The next day I decided to have a red bell pepper on hand and turn on the video. I didn’t think my kids would eat the veggie. Moo started eating right away and said “like me mommy” and pointed to the video. Lee was a harder sell on trying it but once she had one taste she wouldn’t stop eating it either.

I love it, my girls love it and I’m sure your kids will love it. I would recommend Copy-Kids DVD to families with younger kids, ages 1-5, as the kids in the video are around that age. It worked with my kids and I can’t wait for more videos with more fruits & veggies.

“A Mile in His Shoes” DVD- review & giveaway
ABOUT-
“A Mile in His Shoes”
“From the director of “Angels In the Outfield” comes an inspiring story about a special boy with an amazing gift, and the coach who believed. Dean Cain and Luke Schroder star in the gmc movie based on the book “The Legend of Mickey Tussler”.”
My Thoughts-
I’m not one to watch and like sports related movies but “A Mile in His Shoes” really touched my heart. it’s about a baseball team that is struggling to make it, when the coach is asked to travel somewhere to recruit a new player he has some car issues and stops at a farm. There he meets this boy with an amazing arm. His parents are reluctant to let him go join this team because he has aspergers. They don’t want to see him get hurt like he had been all his live. He does join and the team becomes the talk of the State.
While watching this movie, I kept hoping that Mickey wont get hurt or picked on. I found myself cheering him on and crying when his teammate were so supportive of his aspergers.
I don’t know much about aspergers, so I can’t say if the actor was believable or not. But I can say Luke Schroder made his character lovable.
This movie will make you laugh, cry, get mad and smile. This is one we will be keeping on our shelves for a long time. I can’t wait to watch it with my kids. The only thing I could have done without was the country music. But that’s just a personal preference, I know a lot of people who would love it.
I would totally recommend this movie for all ages. It’s clean, fun and inspiring.

“The Christmas Lodge” DVD review & giveaway
ABOUT-
“The Christmas Lodge”
“Thomas Kinkade presents Christmas Lodge: a place where a heart-warming past and loving future meet for one remarkable group of people. During a weekend trip to the mountains, Mary (Erin Karpluk) finds herself at the now- dilapidated lodge where she spent the holidays with her family growing up. She becomes determined to restore the building to its former glory. Inspired by her grandfather and guided by her grandmother in heaven, Mary throws herself into the project, and during the process finds herself drawn to Jack (Michael Shanks), a handsome man who loves the lodge as much as she does. Historically unlucky in love, this chance encounter allows Mary to renew her faith in life and discover her one true love. For an uplifting story about the importance of faith, family and the true holiday spirit, go to the Christmas Lodge.”
My Thoughts-
“Christmas Lodge” is a fun, romantic, family friendly Christmas movie. And although it was pretty predictable I loved it. It was heartwarming and left me feel uplifted and happy. I love happy endings and this one just hit me nicely.
I think “Christmas Lodge” could be an new household tradition to watch together every year. With the message to listen to God’s will and trust in Him for things to go well.
Mary is the main women in this movie. She’s dating the wrong guys and I even said that from the beginning, she is on vacation and stumbles upon a lodge that her & her family spent every year at. She meet an old friend and his daughter. I knew right away she should be with him and not her city boyfriend. Her boyfriend and her break up and she is on a mission to restore this old lodge. From there, she learns to trust God and listen to His will. As I said before, they all live happily ever after.
If you’re looking for a good, clean, family Christmas movie I highly suggest you check out Christmas Lodge. All of us loved watching it and will be watching it again, closer to Christmas. Below is a chance for you to win a copy and also a link to where you can purchase a copy.

The True Story of Puss ‘N Boots DVD review
ABOUT-
“How would you like to know the real story about Puss ‘N Boots?
Well now you and your little ones can learn all about it with the release of The True Story of Puss ‘N Boots. Coming to DVD from Phase 4 Films, this animated movie is true to the original story based on the famous Puss ‘N Boots character by Charles Perrault.
Starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner William Shatner as the voice of Puss, this movie is a great family film about accomplishing your dreams no matter who you are.”
My Thoughts-
I will have to say this was an interesting video. It had a lot of fun parts but a lot of parts I would not want my child to see and the voice to lips was weird too. I think this might have been a French cartoon first and then dubbed over with English.
I did love the spunk of Puss ‘N Boots. He was just as I would have pictured him from the books I read as a child.
The things I wouldn’t want my child to see were parts of the princesses and how she seemed to get away with being very rude to the people who were there to help. In the end she turned out nice but I just didn’t like how mean she was and I don’t want my children to act like her. The queen was very creepy and would have scared/confused my children. And I didn’t like the whole hidden meaning behind the boy being naked and the queen inviting him to the castle. It was all too weird and would have messed up my kids minds.
Seriously, this movie was a waste of 79 minutes of my life and I’m glad to have previewed it before my children watched it.
I HATE giving bad reviews but I had to be honest with this one. Not worth watching.

“The Shunning” DVD review & giveaway
ABOUT-
Beverly Lewis’ The Shunning
“Before she succumbs to cancer, the dying wish of Laura Mayfield-Bennett is to be reunited with the daughter she never knew. Unfortunately, that daughter, Katie Lapp, is a member of the Amish order. Katie is about to be married, but uneasy about the path ahead. Now she discovers the secret her parents have kept from her: she’s adopted.
The film is based on the celebrated first novel of the best-selling “The Heritage of Lancaster County” book series from author Beverly Lewis. Stars Danielle Panabaker & Sherry Stringfield.”
My Thoughts-
This is a hard movie for me to review. I know it’s based after a book written by a wonderful author, but the movie was kind of dry and it left me wanting a bit more to it. But it was a made for TV movie too so that might have been a bit of the problem too.
I do want to say the acting was amazing and I loved that they tried their best to stay authentic to Amish culture. Where we live it’s a lot of Mennonite culture, even at Walmart there is Horse parking. So having the movie stick closely to what I’ve experienced, with the exception that the Mennonite interact with the “English”. They even went as far as to have an accent.
I did enjoy parts of the movie and learning more about what its like to be part of a Shunning, both on the outcast side and the other people’s side. I know I wouldn’t be able to survive not being talked to or not talking to the ones I loved.
If they came out with a sequel to the movie I would watch it. Mainly because I did fall in love with the characters and want to see more of what happens in Katie’s life, what happens when she meets her birth mother, can she go back to her adoptive family?
So maybe if it wasn’t a made for TV movie they could have built up the characters and plot line a bit more and made the movie a bit more exciting. But with what I saw, I really want to see more. maybe I will even go and read these books too.
It’s a cute movie and I’m sure most will love it and want more. Beverly Lewis fans will love it too.

The animation series of Theo guides children and adults through a careful study of systematic theology. Theo discusses doctrines about sin, Godʼs character, the Bible, salvation and godly living with easy-to-understand illustrations that make children want to learn more about the Christian faith.”
What sets THEO apart from others?
“The Buy 1 – Give 1 campaign!
For every Theo DVD purchased, Whitestone Media and Child Evangelism Fellowship® will send a child in need their very own copy of Theo.”
My Thoughts-
I got to review two Theo videos equaling 15 minutes with my daughter Moo. The animation is great, it gives me that old-school feeling with a new vibe when it comes to Christian children movies. The message is also easy to understand. Even Moo who is 2 was talking about it afterwards.
I also love that their is a curriculum to go along with these videos making teaching my kids even easier. Moo loved the movies so much that she keeps asking for them over and over. I think I’ll need more videos soon. At least the movies are not annoying like some children videos are.
I highly recommend Christian families to check this video series out. Lots of fun and easy to talk to your children with.
