Bamboo 3 Piece Accessory Kit- by ToiletTree Products- REVIEW

ABOUT-
Bamboo 3 Piece Accessory Kit- by ToiletTree Products
3 Piece Kit includes- “Lotion Dispenser, Tooth Brush Holder and Soap Dish. Made from 100% natural eco-friendly bamboo.”

My Thoughts-
We’ve moved into a new home recently and I’ve been looking for ways to make everything look nicer/different then it did at our old house. When I was asked if I’d like to review the Bamboo 3 Piece Accessory Kit- by ToiletTree Products I was excited. My new bathroom has a lot of bamboo style and also has colors to complement it. We are also an eco-friendly family and knowing that bamboo is friendly to our planet makes this product even more nicer for our house.

This piece is nice and sturdy and BEAUTIFUL. I have recently been using a bar of soap as part of my face cleaning regimen and it’s nice to not have to put it in a used plastic cup, now it looks like it belongs in the bathroom. I also love having my lotion in a matching bottle/box on my counter-top. The tooth brush holder would be nice but it doesn’t fit our kind of tooth brushes, only Moo’s fit in it. So I’ve removed the metal plate and use it that way.
My bathroom is coming along very nicely and the Bamboo 3 Piece Accessory Kit- by ToiletTree Products is a perfect fit for my decor.
I would recommend this set for your bathroom. It’s very high quality and wont fall apart easily, it looks amazing and it’s friendly to our Earth.

Designerliners review & giveaway

ABOUT-
Designerliners are stylish biodegradable trash bags that can beautify any room in the home. The bags come in ten different color/pattern combination; Pink Polka Dot, Orange Polka Dot, Navy Blue Polka Dot, Red Gingham, Gold Gingham, Black Leopard, Blue Leopard, Red Toile, Blue Toile, and Black Tattersol.”

My Thoughts-
One waste basket I hate in my house is the bathroom’s. It’s ugly and we usually use plastic bags in it. When I heard about Designerliners I was totally excited. I knew the first basket we were going to test them on. The bag fit perfectly and is so cute. I also love that the company has many different designs so that we can match each room in our house. Each pack comes with 12 bags and are very sturdy. I was expecting a cute design but a thin bag. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. And to top it all off Designerliners are friendly to our Earth being biodegradable.
I am totally happy with Designliners and with us moving to a new house very soon I would love to use them for all our trash cans to help add that little touch to our home.

NORWEX Enviro Cloth & Antibac Window Cloth- review

My friend Laura sells Norwex products and about 18 months ago I went to my first Norwex party. While there I ordered Ultra Plus Laundry Detergent, Dryer Balls, Antibac Enviro Cloth and Antibac Window Cloth. Today I will tell you about the Antibac Enviro Cloth and Antibac Window Cloth.

ABOUT-
Antibac Enviro Cloth
“This multipurpose, antibacterial, microfiber cloth removes dust, dirt, and grease from all washable surfaces, while preventing the transfer of germs to your hand and cross-contamination between surfaces. Use it dry for dusting, or damp for cleaning walls, tiles, bathtubs, counters, metal surfaces, car interiors, etc. Between launderings, simply rinse, wring out and hang to dry. Available in four colours allowing you to colour-code for different purposes or rooms. “

ABOUT-
Antibac Window Cloth
“The antibac window cloth allows you to clean your windows, mirrors, jewelry, and shiny surfaces with water alone. Clean dirty surface first with a moist enviro cloth, then polish with the window cloth for a streak-free shine. On less dirty surfaces, simply spray water on the surface and polish with the dry window cloth. “

MY Thoughts-
I love both these cloths. I was given a demonstration with their cleaning power at a home show. The home owner got their window very dirty with Vaseline, lipstick, syrup and all kinds of makeup. My friend, Laura, then showed us how to use these two cloths together. You first lightly wet the Antibac Enviro Cloth and then wipe the window all down. You then take the Antibac Window Cloth(dry) and then polish your window. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I thought for sure the window would be all streaky and smudge, but with the use of both cloths the window was totally see-through. I was sold and bought a set for myself. Once I got it I cleaned my front room window and within a few minutes a poor little bird ran into my window because it was so clean, sorry birdy.
Another feature I LOVE about these cloths are the Antibac component. As using it you know things without chemicals are getting totally clean and are safe for your family.

BUY IT-
You can contact Laura at laurasnorwex@gmail.com or visit her website at www.laurasnorwex.com
I highly recommend Norwex products and hope you will contact Laura too. She can ship anywhere in North America.

FOOD TO LIVE BY: The Earthbound Farm Organic Cookbook- review & giveaway

ABOUT-
Food to Live By: The Earthbound Farm Organic Cookbook
“In Food to Live By, a dazzling full-color cookbook, Myra Goodman offers an utterly appealing, new casual style of cooking based on using the best ingredients, organic or otherwise. The dishes are irresistible: Sweet Corn Chowder. Spinach, Feta and Mushroom Quiche. Foggy Day Chili. Merlot-Braised Short Ribs with Cipollini Onions. Spicy Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Ginger Lime Salmon. Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Spiced Orange Sauce. Blue Cheese Smashed Potatoes. Coconut Lemongrass Sorbet. Cherry Panna Cotta. Farm Stand Carrot Cake. Plus, throughout are Farm-Fresh Ingredient boxes—on sorrel, corn, asparagus, artichokes— cooking and shopping tips, and health notes.”

My Thoughts-
Before I get into some foods I prepared from Food to Live By: The Earthbound Farm Organic Cookbook, I wanted to tell you about the book as a whole.
Not only is this book a cookbook it’s also an informational book. There are little tidbits though out the book. I learned about different types of salad greens, health benefits of avocados, how to freeze fruits and so much more. And I should say most importantly I learned about the importance of buying organic. I started looking through the book for the recipes and ended up reading it from front to back to read all the info it gave me. Myra Goodman also threw in some personal food stories/memories to make the book even more fun to read.
Now onto the food. I made two recipes out of this book. The first “Raspberry Corn Muffins” and the second “Brown Sugar Glazed Hazelnuts”.
I was very excited to try out the “Raspberry Corn Muffins”. Two of my favorite foods made into one. MMMM…. These were very easy to make and turned out perfect. And there isn’t a lot of sugar in them, mainly honey, making them healthier then regular muffins. My only problem was only eating one at a time, they are sooooo good.

“Brown Sugar Glazed Hazelnuts” are meant to go on salads but they are very yummy on their own too. They make a great afternoon snack. I didn’t have hazelnuts but the recipe said I could substitute it with almonds. As these were cooking I couldn’t wait to try them, the kitchen smelled so amazing. My only mistake was not using a fork or slotted spoon to place them on the baking sheet and the egg/brown sugar mixture got too much on the tray and made the almonds clump together. So all I had to do was let them cool off and break them apart like brittle. This is another yummy healthy treat that can be found in this cookbook.

There are many more recipes I can’t wait to try, like “Heirloom Tomato Soup”, “Parmesan Croutons” and “Sizzling Steak w/ the Goodman family olive sauce”. I think every household should have a copy of this book. It’s amazing. And below you can win a copy plus so much more.

Ecoland men’s organic coolmesh socks- review (CLOSED)

ABOUT-
Ecoland men’s organic cotton coolmesh quarter socks w/ arch support
• classic soft organic cotton quarter socks
• arch support
• soft cushioned sole
• lightweight and stretchability provides the perfect fit
• machine washable

My Thoughts-
Although these would have made a perfect Father’s Day gift for my hubby I stole them for myself. They looked too comfy and felt too soft to give them up. I wear these as often as I can and hope to own more soon because I’d love to wear them every time I work out.
The arch support makes them so comfortable while moving around at lot. And they coolmesh really make the socks perfect for working hard. The socks wash well too, no shrinking and getting those little balls on the inside like a lot of other socks get.
I love that these are organic cotton socks, so they are kind to our planet, hey they are even made in the USA. But I also love the non-profit partnering they do. I love knowing when a company gives back.
I would totally recommend checking out Ecoland and all their products. They have something for everyone in your family.

Piggy Paint- review (CLOSED)

ABOUT-
Piggy Paint is a natural, eco-friendly nail polish designed for fancy girls. Its non-toxic, hypoallergenic formula makes it safe to use on all piggies. Piggy Paint dries to a hard, durable finish that can easily be removed with our eco-friendly, low odor Piggy Paint nail polish remover. Both are made in the USA!”

My Thoughts-
We received 3 bottles of Piggy Paint and a bottle of their remover for this review. I love the fact that there are companies out there that think about kids and the environment and beauty all at the same time.
I hate using “real” nail polish on my kids for many reasons two of them being it smells awful and it is toxic if they eat it.
Piggy Paint does not have a strong smell and it’s non-toxic, which was perfect for Moo as I knew she’d chew her toes once the nail polish was on.
The polish goes on nice and smoothly and dries hard. Both Lee and I still have our polish on our toes two weeks later. (Moo, as I thought chewed hers off, she won’t get her little piggies paint anytime again soon). What’s even funnier is the blue polish we received matches perfectly to lee’s dance recital outfit, lol.
The polish remove again did not have a strong smell and took the nail polish off very easily.
I LOVE Piggy Paint and I love that fact they even sell gift packages making them perfect as gifts to that little princess in your life. Or who am I kidding? For yourself too. I love the colors they sell just as much as my 5 year old does.
