My Thoughts-
I ordered a medium sized personalized jigsaw puzzle from Piczzle. I choose to use a photo of Moo and our friend Matt. Moo is always wanting to hang out with him and loves to “play” guitar with him. My first impression of my photo puzzle was how great of a quality the photo was. It was nice and crisp and not grainy like a lot of photo puzzles I have seen.
The second thing I noticed was how sturdy the puzzle was. It’s nice and thick, almost like wood. This puzzle will last a long time, especially with Moo using it all the time.
Moo’s reaction? “Look it’s Matt! I like it mommy!” So do I Moo, so do I. Totally awesome quality, print and fun photo.
If you’re looking for a place to order a custom picture puzzle for you or someone you love for Christmas or just as a fun gift, I highly recommend checking out Piczzle.

“Game of Your Life” Family Movie Night Review

“Game of Your Life” Dec 2nd on NBC 8/7c Synopsis
“When industrious high school gamer Zach Taylor lands a prized scholarship to the prestigious Digital Institute of Game Design (DIGD), his future breaks wide open. The opportunity to study under gaming legend Marcus Bentton and alongside the country’s most creative minds will certainly propel him into a successful career as a video game designer. That is, if he can pass the infamous freshman project that eliminates more than half of the class within the first three months.

Paired with brilliant yet socially awkward teammates Phillip and Donald, the trio persuades Sara Ramirez – a determined and striking team leader with whom Zach has a history (and possibly a future) – to join their team. Working off-campus in the teched-out Lincoln Alley loft, the four set out to involve the entire campus in a quirky new social interactive game. But as the group becomes entrenched in the project, Zach learns that his father Billy, a widower, is facing growing financial woes at home. To help out, Zach accepts an opportunity to work directly with Marcus Bentton on a secretive side project that seems too good to be true. The effort requires nearly all of Zach’s time and energy, which he should be devoting to the project. Struggling to keep it together, Zach is torn between his responsibility to his team, his admiration for Bentton and a chance to help his father.

Everything comes to a breaking point when Zach’s team threatens to remove him from the group and the deceptive truth behind Bentton’s project comes to light. With the guidance of Professor Abbie Lambert, Zach must make a decision that not only affects his future, but the lives and livelihoods of the people around him as well. It’s a revealing story that recognizes the magnitude behind the choices we make and the importance loyalty plays in making good decisions.”

My Thoughts-
I will be watching this movie again when it’s on Dec 2nd. However I was a bit lost and it felt a bit slow for me. I think mainly this is because of not knowing much about video games and I don’t relate with the people who do know that kind of stuff.
I did love this movie and the characters. I could totally understand Zach’s feeling towards his dreams and his memories and not knowing what to do. I also love the little love connection in this movie. You keep hoping that Zach and Sara will get together in the end. I also love that one guy you think is a bad guy but turns out to be good. I always hate when there is that one guy stereotyped as the rich kid who only thinks about himself and is mean to the main character. In this movie there is a twist.
I hope you will check out Family Movie Night’s “Game of Your Life” on Dec 2nd on NBC 8/7c. It’s a very clean family friendly movie and not only reaches out to those techies out there but also the girlie side, the funny side and the just fun side of people.

“The Muppets” movie review

ABOUT-
“On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theatre and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the theatre, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With signature celebrity cameos, Disney’s “The Muppets” hits the big screen Nov. 23, 2011.”

My Thoughts-
I LOVE the Muppets, have since I was a little girl. So when I was given the chance to pre-screen the new Muppet movie I couldn’t wait. I was a little scared they might have changed them too much since it’s been a long time since the last movie but I was very happily impressed with how they stuck with the same feel of the old Muppets.
As usual there was tons of cheesy music and dancing. Along with many celebrity guest appearances. You have to watch close to catch them all. In fact I’m going again this weekend to see it another time and I bet I’ll see more celebs I didn’t see the first time. This movie was stinkin’ funny too. At one point I couldn’t stop laughing that I thought I was going to pass out. LOL or should I say “maniacal laugh”.(go watch the movie and you’ll get that joke)
I have to say my favorite part is the celeb they got for the “Muppet of a Man” for Walter. I wont give it away but if you watch shows like “Big bang” or “How I Met Your Mother” you’ll see what I mean by funny.
If you’ve never seen or heard of the Muppets and love a good comedy I think you might like this movie. If you know the Muppets I think you’ll love this movie and love going back in time with everyone.
Also be on the look out. There might be some questioned answered like, “Will Kermit and Miss Piggy ever be together?” or “What would Animal be like without his drums?” or maybe “are you a Muppet or a man?” (I know sometimes I wish I was a Muppet or at least got to hang out with them)
For a family friendly, funny movie, I give this an A+ and I hope you’ll go see it too.

I was given free tickets to the pre-screening in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not asked to write a personal review but to be honest.

“The Christmas Lodge” DVD review & giveaway

ABOUT-
“The Christmas Lodge”
“Thomas Kinkade presents Christmas Lodge: a place where a heart-warming past and loving future meet for one remarkable group of people. During a weekend trip to the mountains, Mary (Erin Karpluk) finds herself at the now- dilapidated lodge where she spent the holidays with her family growing up. She becomes determined to restore the building to its former glory. Inspired by her grandfather and guided by her grandmother in heaven, Mary throws herself into the project, and during the process finds herself drawn to Jack (Michael Shanks), a handsome man who loves the lodge as much as she does. Historically unlucky in love, this chance encounter allows Mary to renew her faith in life and discover her one true love. For an uplifting story about the importance of faith, family and the true holiday spirit, go to the Christmas Lodge.”

My Thoughts-
“Christmas Lodge” is a fun, romantic, family friendly Christmas movie. And although it was pretty predictable I loved it. It was heartwarming and left me feel uplifted and happy. I love happy endings and this one just hit me nicely.
I think “Christmas Lodge” could be an new household tradition to watch together every year. With the message to listen to God’s will and trust in Him for things to go well.
Mary is the main women in this movie. She’s dating the wrong guys and I even said that from the beginning, she is on vacation and stumbles upon a lodge that her & her family spent every year at. She meet an old friend and his daughter. I knew right away she should be with him and not her city boyfriend. Her boyfriend and her break up and she is on a mission to restore this old lodge. From there, she learns to trust God and listen to His will. As I said before, they all live happily ever after.
If you’re looking for a good, clean, family Christmas movie I highly suggest you check out Christmas Lodge. All of us loved watching it and will be watching it again, closer to Christmas. Below is a chance for you to win a copy and also a link to where you can purchase a copy.

National Geographic Kids Halloween Book of Fun!- review

ABOUT-
National Geographic Kids Halloween Book of Fun!
“National Geographic Kids Halloween Book of Fun! is packed full of everything to get kids into the “spirit” of the holiday, including ghostly games, creepy crafts, frightfully funny jokes and loads more. The ultimate boredom buster for long car rides, rainy Saturday afternoons and waiting for a sibling to get done with soccer or dance practice, this spooky treat will keep kids entertained for hours with pages of Halloween-themed mazes, hidden picture games, funny fill-ins to create your own ghost stories and tons of cool trivia. There’s a whole Do-It-Yourself section as well that gives you everything you need to create your own fun and unique costume, mix up some ghoulish make up, recipes and ideas for hosting the coolest Halloween party on the block and pumpkin carving tricks, tips and stencils. “

My Thoughts-
The day we got this we sat at the dinner table to read through it as a family. My kids loved the facts and joke pages, I loved all the craft ideas. Some of the activities were a little too advanced for my kids who are ages 2 & 5, but my husband and I loved doing the whole books.
We laughed for a long time with all the “corny” jokes. They were so cheesy that it made them even more funny. And we learned a lot of fun facts about Halloween, animals associated with Halloween and so much more.
There are also pages talking about Myths and facts about the holiday and items associated to it. There is so much to learn and do in this book.
The next day my girls wanted me to read though it with them again. And they laughed even harder at the jokes. Which in turn made me laugh harder.
I think National Geographic Kids Halloween Book of Fun is a perfect family fun activity. It really got everyone involved. We had fun while learning. My kids recommend this book and so do I. We love National Geographic Kids.
