Baby Diner review & 50% discount code
Ok first, raise of hands, how many of you have kids? Or maybe the better question is, how many of you have kids that like to throw their bowl or plate on the floor at dinner time? I bet many of you raised your hands, I know I did. Well that time has come to an end in our household thanks to the Baby Diner.
What is the Baby Diner? you may ask.
“Baby Diner attaches to any smooth table top or structure and allows a parent or guardian to secure any smooth bottom sided plate, bowl or any other dishware to prevent young children from accidentally knocking or throwing dishes on the floor. “
In other words it gives us parents a peace of mind knowing they won’t throw their bowl on the floor, or have to eat off a dirty table in a restaurant, or you having to hand feed your child.
My Thoughts-
There was some assembly required and it was tough to get the suction cups to go in the plastic. But I think that is a good thing, it means it would be hard for your kid to take it apart. The suction cups work amazing too.
The thing I love the most is meals have been easy to clean up. her tray is clean and the Baby Diner is simple to wipe up. I totally recommend this to all parents/grandparents with little kids.
Our 15 month old, Moo, loved it. At first it wasn’t love as she got frustrated not being able to throw her bowl. She tugged and pulled and twisted with all her might but it stayed stuck to the table. Soon she was eating and laughing and just enjoying her meal, in a bowl and not on the table.

No Throws- review (CLOSED)
We received 3 girly No Throws for us to try out. We tried them on a bottle attached to Moo’s booster chair, we tried them on a few toys attached to her car seat and stroller and tried them on a sippy cup at a restaurant. Let me tell you, No Throws are a life savor. It was nice not to have to pick up Moo’s stuff all the time. I really loved it not having to worry about her cup landing on a dirty floor. At first Moo hated it because she couldn’t play her “game” of throwing it and laughing, but after awhile she loved it. She was able to pull on the rope and get her toy back without having to wait on mommy.
These are perfect for anyone with little ones who love to throw their cups/toys on the ground all the time. It saves you the hassle and will give you piece of mind knowing their toys/cups will remain clean.
More on the Company
We are Karla and Karen, twin sisters, from Chicago. When our
sons were still babies, we lived within a mile of each other and
were able to enjoy taking walks to the park with our children or
being able to drop in on each other for a cup of coffee. Early in
2001 Karla and her family moved to Detroit. As a result of Karla’s
move, we found ourselves traveling back and forth between the two
states much more than we ever imagined. During those trips
Karla’s son Danny kept throwing his bottle around the plane
and Karen’s son Alex kept throwing his sippy cup all over the car.
After one particularly embarrassing flight Karla called Karen
and said “there has got to be something out there to stop this
embarrassment”. That was 8 year ago!
The Nothrow
(as in DANNY/ALEX! NO THROW YOUR BOTTLE/CUP),
is our answer.

Lunchbox Love- review (CLOSED)
With Lee Lee starting school this year I was thinking of ways to stay connected with her. sayplease.com. Each pack comes with 12 cards, 10 cards have encouraging sayings on them and the other two are blank for you to write your own personal love notes on. The back of each card has some fun facts for you and your child to learn. All the cards come in a nice sturdy plastic recyclable case.
I LOVE these cards. They are very cute and are made of a nicer paper then regular paper. My favorite love note is “I love spending time with you.” Lee Lee’s favorite fun fact is “Did you know? That a turtle can breath through it’s butt.”- LOL
Although Lee Lee can’t read yet, I plan on leaving a card for her at the breakfast table and reading it to her every morning. I want her day to start out on a positive note and these cards are awesome for that.
With FREE shipping of you buy 4 or more volumes how can you not want to buy more? Not only do they sell Notes for Kids they also sell Notes for Everyone, so you can leave a love note for your honey.

Reusies- Review CLOSED
I am very excited to share this review and giveaway with you.
With our oldest starting school in the Fall we have been looking at green ways to pack her lunch. I hate seeing all those plastic bags going in the garbage and want to do our part in being kind to our planet.
I came across ReUsies on Facebook and contacted them right away to see if they would work with me. They were very kind to send me their new print, Peace Flower, ReUsies sandwich bag and snack bag.
The inside is water resistant and perfect for any snack you want to put in your child’s lunch box. They look and feel well made. Their site gives you care instructions. We wash them in the sink and in our washer however if you have a dishwasher you can even wash them there.
My daughter LOVES the color and can’t wait for school to start. I love the ease of using them. Filling and closing the bag is simple and the snacks stay in with no problem. Oh and a bonus is they are sealed with Velcro which makes it simple for young children to open.
ReUsies carries a variety of colors for girls & boys. You can also get free shipping on buying 3 or more- their current SALE. I would recommend anyone who has kid in school to check out ReUsies.
About ReUsies:
“At the start of the new school year we realized that our families were going through an average of 10 plastic bags per day between school and work lunches. We do our best to reuse and recycle in other areas of our lives, but there didn’t seem to be a solution to the plastic sandwich bags we were using.
We developed ReUsies™ for their waste-free quality, but many customers primary reason for purchasing our product was to eliminate plastic from being in direct contact with their family’s food. Whatever your reason, know you have made a good choice!
We are Seattle moms with a passion to do right by our children, and hope that the footprint we leave behind for future generations will be much smaller. We take pride in our product and we hope you enjoy them too!”

"Get Yubo" Lunch Boxes
I recently discovered this company and thought their lunch boxes looked so cute. I loved the idea of being able to change the “face plates” and make the lunch box different each day. I also love their icepack and containers that fit their lunch boxes.
I’ve never seen the product in real life but the company did send me some photos and info that I can post here for you all to read about. I encourage you to check them out.
Moms and Kids in Mind
New lunch packing system combines innovative personalized style with a convenient, clean, eco-friendly design, so taking lunch is always fun and easy
San Francisco, CA – April 30, 2010: As any parent knows, the lunch box is one of the most necessary, yet frustrating, accessories in a child’s life. Kids want to carry something cool and current, while moms want a lunch box that’s easy to use, easy to clean, and good for the environment. Sadly, the typical lunch box sold today is hardly unique, convenient or fun for kids. Instead, most have pedestrian designs, require endless use of plastic baggies, and become a smelly mess within a month. Finally, there is a better option: with yubo’s revolutionary redesign of the lunch box inside and out, packing lunch is fun again.
The creators of yubo started with a simple concept: the lunch box should be cool, easy to clean, and help to prevent waste, not create it. Working with one of the top design firms in the country, along with a healthy dose of real-life experience as parents, founders Cyndi and Paul Pedrazzi created a lunch box that a child can personalize on the outside and parents can customize on the inside for packing the perfect lunch. Even better, yubo can go straight into the dishwasher anytime.
“With yubo, parents use our custom-made containers instead of baggies, which is better for the environment and cuts down on cost, one snack at a time,” said Cyndi Pedrazzi, mother of two girls, ages 5 and 3. “But we wanted yubo to be more than just parent-focused; we wanted it to be fun for kids too. With our interchangeable faceplates, kids can choose from any of yubo’s signature designs, display their photos, or artwork, so yubo is always about their own unique personality.”
The yubo lunch box is a reinvention from the ground up. At the core is a patent-pending modular design using BPA-free plastic treated with an anti-microbial agent, allowing for frequent, thorough dishwasher cleaning. Inside is a specially fitted ice pack and three food-safe, economical and reusable food containers, all designed for kid-friendly foods.
Outside, kids create their own look by ordering custom tags and faceplates. They can personalize their lunch box with yubo’s own designs, optionally add their name, or upload their own artwork or photos for a completely personal look. At just $6.95-$12.95 for a pack of two, the faceplates can be changed regularly, turning the lunch box into a creative canvas for kids to express themselves as they grow.
The revolutionary yubo lunch box is available in three delicious colors – pink, blue, and orange – and can be customized with a wide array of faceplates to suite any taste. The standard lunchbox is $21.95, while the deluxe model includes three custom food containers and an ice pack for $29.95.

Banana Guard Review & Giveaway- (CLOSED)
We received a package from the people at Banana Guard with a bunch of their products to review and giveaway the other day. Enclosed was a “Banana Guard”, “S’wich Guard”, “Froot Guard” and “Froot Case”. I was excited to work with this company for many reasons, two of them being they are Made in Canada and I HATE when my banana gets smashed in my bag.
Each piece is made out of strong plastic and easy to open. I sent my husband to work with the Banana Guard. He rides his bike to work and would never bring a banana with him because it would just be smashed by the time he got to work. I think he loves it because he’s used it all week. My daughter loves the S’wich Guard and loves to carry it around by it’s handle. And I love the Froot guard, my apple fits perfectly in it and no worries about it bruising. We haven’t had a chance to try out the Froot Case but it looks perfect for a kiwi, one of my favorite fruits.
Before I got these products I was wondering how in the world they could make the Banana Guard fit all bananas. But it does, we have had three different bunches of bananas and all of them have fit.
I would recommend these products to anyone who needs to carry food somewhere. Such as, lunch for school/work, a picnic, taking kids on an outing, hiking, etc…
Below is more info from the people at Banana Guard:
Banana Guard:
With over a million sold, the patented Banana Guard has allowed people of all ages to enjoy the world’s most favourite fruit at work, school or play without the worry that it will become smushed and inedible! Remarkably this device fits over 90% of commercially available bananas. How? Highly curved bananas can be straightened slightly to fit into upper curve and very straight bananas can be bent ever so slightly to fit into the mold.
Froot Guard:
Aren’t you fed up having to eat bruised apples or peaches that have been punctured by stuff in your napsack? The Froot Guard is specially designed to fit the average size larger round fruit such as apples, pears and peaches however its use is certainly not limited to holding just these fruit. Many customers place their grapes and cherries in these as well.
The Froot Guard is made of the same sturdy, FDA approved plastic used in the Banana Guard and also features a carabiner hook so that it can easily be attached to the outside of your backpack. A sturdy locking mechanism prevents premature opening and there are several ventilation holes so your fruit doesn’t end up fermenting!
The tops and bottoms of the Froot Guard are interchangeable with the other colours available so you can make your favourite colour combination.
Froot Case:
All the same benefits as the Froot Guard, this beauty will stop your smaller fruits like kiwi’s, plums and apricots from sustaining undesirable trauma.
S’wich Guard:
Aren’t you tired of having squished sandwiches? How about never needing to use plastic wrap again? We designed the S’wich Guard with the above in mind. It fits most common sandwich bread sizes and as a bonus it can double as your plate! It is even safe for the microwave for your gourmet hot lunch.
More Info:
All our products are made of FDA approved recyclable plastic, BPA-FREE and made in Canada where they pass through the highest quality assurance testing. The Banana Guards, the Froot Guards/Cases and the S’wich Guards are of course dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
