Cangles now offers autism awareness/support jewelry
I have a lot of friends and family members who have children with autism. I am happy to know one of my favorite, eco-friendly companies, Cangles, has recently released a new line of autism awareness/support jewelry. Not only does the jewelry help raise awareness, it’s also cute AND with each purchase, Cangles will donate $1 to Autism Speaks! WOW!
You can read a bit of their press-lease below.
“Designed with the assistance of Isaiah’s mom, Julie, we have a general support product in the necklace.
What was very important to Julie was a way of identifying her son in the event he wandered off. For that reason, we are offering a personalized bracelet that comes with an attached clasp that the wearer cannot remove. The phrase “I Am Human Too” and the colorful autism symbol is on the cuff. You may have a name and phone number, one or both, added if you wish. A similar product but without making it personalized, you may select the cuff without the clasp.
The final item is a 1/2″ cuff with a puzzle piece charm with the words” I Love Someone With Autism” on the band. This particular bracelet will be available for sale next week, but you may place your order now if you wish. Of course a portion of each sale will be donated. We’ve chosen Autism Speaks™ as the 501(c)(3), again at the recommendation of Isaiah’s mom. Starting today and through the month of April, we’re offering a 10% discount, so after registering and when a promo code is prompted, enter AUTISM.“

Teethease– review & giveaway
ABOUT-
Rock•ease Necklace
“The newest addition to the Teethease collection, Rock•ease emulates modern jewellery fashions with uniquely shaped “rocks.” The Rock•ease necklace is safe for chewing and teething, while the various shapes and textures create a fantastic distraction for babies while breastfeeding. Available in grey marble, sandstone and turquoise.”
I am excite to introduce you all to Teethease for many reasons. My first reason is I love it’s a Canadian company. Supporting Canadian companies is important to me. My Second reason is I loved how these looked online I just had to show you.
My first impression after opening the mailing package was how cute the packaging was. It looks sort of like a paint can. If you have older kids they’ll love using it to put their little treasures in.
My second impression was how big the “rocks” where in the Teethease- Rock•ease necklace. I thought it might look kind of sill on me, but after trying it on I saw how cute it looked. It fit perfectly and hung at just the right length. I also love how soft each “rock” feels. It will be perfect for little hands and mouths.
Some other features I love about the Teethease necklaces are they have break-away clasps and they are “made of FDA approved medical grade silicone, free of BPA, PVC, latex, heavy metals, phthalates and meets the highest international safety standards (EN-71).” This gives me peace of mind that my kids are safe chewing on this.
I’m bringing the Rock•ease necklace by Teethease with me on TV this coming month as one of the “perfect” gifts to give your loved one for Valentine’s day. I would also like to point out they also sell many different styles of Teethease Pendant Necklace and Teethease Bangles. So if your loved one would prefer something different then the rock-ease then you have a lot of choices.

My Thoughts-
I was so excited to be contacted by Something About Silver to review one of their amazing items. They so nicely surprised me with one of the most BEAUTIFUL necklaces I’ve ever seen, I even cried upon opening it- it was that beautiful.
I was sent a Little Gems Necklace with both my girl’s names on it and their birthstones. It came wrapped in a beautiful box. Upon opening the box I found that they wrapped the necklace in a little cloth bag, there was a silver polishing pad and instruction on how to care for it. The quality of the necklace is also amazing. Perfectly engraved names and the birthstone jewels are cute too.

I think this is the perfect gift for this Christmas and maybe even Valentines day(not that far away). There is also tons of other silver jewelry to pick from and I’m sure Something About Silver has something for that special someone in your life.
And to tell you how much I loved this necklace, the minute I tried it on I knew I had to bring it on Rogers TV for the holiday Must Haves show, so be on the look out for that.

All of the hand stamped jewelry designs we offer can be completely personalized. Names, words, dates, or phrases of your choosing. With or without pearls, crystals or birthstones. Most hand stamped necklaces are also available with either a satin or hammered finish that, along with your personalization, adds to their uniqueness. The choices are up to you!”
MY Thoughts-
I was SO excited when I was contacted by Joseph Allen Designs to work with them on reviewing one of their beautiful pieces of jewelry. It was hard to pick just one piece I wanted to review, because everything I looked at looked amazing. But I ended up picking the Little Book Of Tags with my girls’ names on two tags and a birthstone for each.
When my necklace came in the mail my jaw dropped. It was so beautiful and perfect. And I loved how tiny the tags were, it made them so cute.

The quality of these are AMAZING! The hand stamped necklace was stamped perfectly in the center. i also loved whatever font they used to do it. The chain of the necklace is dainty and oh so pretty too. I was afraid that when ordering the birthstones with it they might be too scratchy(being they are shaped sort of like diamonds with edges) but I never noticed any discomfort wearing it.
When I wore this to a party people kept saying how beautiful it was and “awww, look, it’s your girls’ names, how sweet.” I love wearing it everyday.
If you’re looking for beautiful hand stamped jewelry I highly recommend Joseph Allen Designs. And guys, Christmas is around the corner, I think the woman in your life would love this. It even comes nicely wrapped with a bow.

Sway Silver, Fingerprint Pendants- review
ABOUT-
Sway Silver- Fingerprint Pendants
“By gently pressing a digit into soft putty I’ll make a mold of your cherished one’s fingerprint.
One or more pieces of jewellery can be made using the same impression.
Pendants & charms are made of fine silver and oxidized to bring out the highlights of each unique impression.”
My Thoughts-
When thinking about Father’s Day I was trying to find that perfect gift. Chris would love all kinds of electronics but I like to give something more personal. Recently I had seen some jewellery with children finger prints in them. Once I saw those I wanted them for myself but I also thought that this would be a perfect gift for daddy. I came in to contact with Heather from Sway Silver and found out that not only does she make the jewellery for women but for men too.
Sway Silver is very close to my home so we drove to her house to get our girl’s thumb prints to create daddy’s new necklace. The putty was soft and it was simple to get the impressions.

A few weeks later we were able to pick up Chris’ new and amazing necklace. I love it so much I want to steel it from him. On one side are our girl’s thumb prints and on the other side their first initials. This piece of jewellery will be something he can treasure forever. It’s great quality and I love all the little ridges of their print in it.
Sway Silver also does Fingerprint Parties. You get a group of parents together with their kids and all pick out the perfect design that you want your little one’s thumbprint on and the chain that fits your style. there needs to be a minimum of 6 guests that want to order and Sway Silver will come and give you a demonstration and get your thumbprints then.
PERFECT gifts for everyone. Parents, grandparents, godparents, friends… I love them and hope you will fall in love too.

Old Tin Roof Jewellery- review
ABOUT-
“The story behind “Old Tin Roof“… Yukon artist, Esther Winter has combined the beautiful richness of recycled antique roof tin with other materials such as copper and sterling silver to create this unique jewellery.
The antique tin roof was originally an “Imperial Gasoline Can”. In the 1920′s, the can was flattened and recycled to make a roof for the log cabin pictured below. This historic cabin situated on the artist’s property in Mayo, Yukon was leaning precariously and had to be dismantled. Esther saved the tin roof and has recycled it a second time in this beautiful jewellery!
The names chosen for the Old Tin Roof jewellery pieces are names of actual women who lived in the Mayo area during the early 1900′s.”
My Thoughts-
This may be one of my most favorite reviews ever. I found Esther and her company Old Tin Roof when I was given the opportunity to do another TV review this time with Earth Friendly products. I really wanted to find Canadian companies to work with and Old Tin Roof came up in my searches.
I was taken in by this story of how the Jewellery came about and how it’s not only recycled by recycled-recycled. Taken from an old gas can, turned into a tin roof and now made into the most beautiful jewellery I’ve come in contact with.
I received the Jessica set. It came with earrings and a necklace. I also received an extender for the necklace (you can purchase them from her site as well when you order). Since I’ve gotten my jewellery I haven’t stopped looking at it. And I’m not afraid to share with total strangers about them and it’s story.
The copper paired up with the tin really makes the pieces stand out even more.
This week is Earthday and I highly recommend celebrating it by purchasing for yourself or your loved one an Old Tin Roof piece of jewellery.
