We strive to provide the best custom jigsaw puzzle service by creating a fun, dynamic and an interactive option for those who wish to capture precious life’s moments through a photo puzzle game – for themselves and for the ones they love.
Piczzle’s Cardboard Puzzles are made of outstanding materials, top craftsmanship and the highest print quality. They are constructed of a premium grade cardboard that has been laminated with a glossy finish. Our cardboard puzzles are precision press cut so that all pieces will be perfectly match one another and they are printed using an advanced digital printing technique that results in sharp, multicolored prints.”

My Thoughts-
I ordered a medium sized personalized jigsaw puzzle from Piczzle. I choose to use a photo of Moo and our friend Matt. Moo is always wanting to hang out with him and loves to “play” guitar with him. My first impression of my photo puzzle was how great of a quality the photo was. It was nice and crisp and not grainy like a lot of photo puzzles I have seen.
The second thing I noticed was how sturdy the puzzle was. It’s nice and thick, almost like wood. This puzzle will last a long time, especially with Moo using it all the time.
Moo’s reaction? “Look it’s Matt! I like it mommy!” So do I Moo, so do I. Totally awesome quality, print and fun photo.
If you’re looking for a place to order a custom picture puzzle for you or someone you love for Christmas or just as a fun gift, I highly recommend checking out Piczzle.

Shutterfly

I LOVE Shutterfly. I love the fact that you can upload, store and share your photos easily and safely. Another feature I’m in love with is how easy it is to set up your own photo books. You can pick between a customized book or a simple already laid out book. I personally love using the customized path because I love to put that personal touch to my book.
Something else I love about Shutterfly is their Christmas photo cards. One of my friends sends us a card every year and they use Shutterfly. Those cards always end up on our fridge for the whole year and I always say, “wow, I love how these look”. I also love photo Christmas cards because they show the family they came from, a memory I keep forever. Meaning, when we get the card for the next year, I put last years into a photo album.
Something I haven’t tried yet but really am interested in is Stutterfly’s photo gifts. I would love to have luggage tags with our family photo on them. We do a lot of traveling and those tags would be easy to identify. Or if we lost our luggage someone would know who we are easily. I also love their notebooks, I write a lot of notes about my blog while traveling or out shopping and it would be fun to have a notebook with pictures of my girls on it. And I also think I’d get a lot of use out of their stickers. Maybe I could even put the bassgiraffe’s Thoughts logo on them.

Shutterfly has sooooo much to offer and is easy to use. Plus throughout the year you can find great deals on prints, shipping and other products they offer.

Have your own blog? Register for a chance for a free photo book from Shutterfly http://goo.gl/K5hUC

Canvas 4 Life- review

ABOUT-
Canvas 4 Life has grown to become the leading photo canvas provider globally with state of the art production centers throughout North America and Europe. Here, we hope to give you an insight into Canvas 4 Life as a corporation by defining our 5 main principles of business.”

My Thoughts-
I was excited to have the opportunity to review a canvas print from Canvas 4 Life. We had just gotten our family photos done and there was one of the girls I wanted blown up and hung in the playroom. We plan on hanging this in our Playroom next to a poster sized photo of our girls that says “sisterly love” they were 6 months a 3.5 years in that photo so it’s nice to have an updated photo to hang next to it. I was able to order a 30″x20″ canvas print and customize it to my liking. the system was very easy to use and my print came very quickly too.
They say canvas printing, but I would say it looks more like a painting. I love how you can see the details of paint worked into making your photo come alive. The canvas is high quality and the frame is very well put together. I know this will last us a lifetime and I can’t wait to pass it down to the girls when they get older. My parents even wanted to “steal” it from me because of how awesome it is. And the first words that came out of my mouth after opening it was “WOW!!!!” with my eyes really big and my smile bigger. I LOVE it.
If you want your photos on to canvas I highly recommend Canvas 4 Life as the place you shop at. They have many selections of sizes and are totally customizable. Plus the price is great too.

Mixbook review and discount

ABOUT-
Mixbook.com, a leading photo publishing company. Unlike our competitors, our photo books are 100% customizable, allowing users to begin with either a blank book or an existing template that can then be edited to their liking. Mixbook also has a unique collaboration feature which allows our users to invite friends and family to work on a project together. We offer competitive pricing and our email subscribers often receive exclusive discounts. Also, our customers love us and consistently give us a 5-star rating.”

MY thoughts-
I can officially say I have found my new place to order all my photo books. Photobooks by Mixbook made it so easy to use and add my photos to each page that I didn’t leave all frustrated like I do with other companies.
You first pick the type of album you want, including size, theme and colors. Then you upload all your photos to the project. It’s simple as selecting them all in the folder and then click upload. After this you can either let Mixbook pick where your photos go or pick and choose where they go. What I loved is after I used a photo it put a little green check mark beside it to let me know it’s been used, I can use it again if I wanted to but it’s so nice to know that it’s been used. If you don’t like a layout of a page you can either delete it, add to it (with more stickers) or even move it to another spot in your book. You can also duplicate a page or add a blank page to customize it yourself.
Seriously it’s simple and fun. And to top it off they add little says to the pages so you don’t have to think of them yourself. I do want to add a warning though, please be sure to read ALL of them in the book. I read the first three and loved them so I didn’t read the rest. When I got my book those three verses were repeated through out the book. Oh well, at least like them.
Below are three photos of my book. The first is the front cover, the second is my favorite page and the last is the end of the book. I LOVE it. In fact I loved it so much I have created another one with our new family photos, I can’t wait to order it.

TenEleven Photography 2011

I am so very excited to have gotten our family photos back from TenEleven Photography today! We had them done on Saturday. Tanya, the photographer is amazing. We had our photos done with her in 2009 too and were very happy with those as well.

Something I love about her besides her amazing photography skills is her philosophy(if she would call it that) on pricing. She wants families to enjoy their photos and be able to afford them. We were lucky to get in on a special deal this time for only $40 we got unlimited time(only needed an hour) for the photo shoot, a CD/DVD disk it a ton of photos, fully edited and full rights to print them any size we would like. Even without the special we got in on, it’s still a deal with it being around $100+ for the same thing we got. I know of companies like “Wally World” and others like it that charge $200+++ for only 10 photos, and not as great of quality OR as PERSONAL.

That’s another thing, TenEleven Photography made our experience very personal. She learned our names, talked to us about what we were looking for in photos, even allowed us to help set up some shots. Plus she was very very patient with Moo, she just wouldn’t sit still. But as you will see below we got a lot of amazing shots of her.

If you live anywhere near Cambridge, ON (or would like to visit us and get photos while you’re here) I would recommend you check out TenEleven Photography. You won’t be disappointed. We love them so much we had Chris’ best friend’s family go to her for their first family photo shoot with their baby.

Below is just a sampling of the photos we got. I would post them all but that would be a big blog post. :)

“Being Four” book review

ABOUT-
“Being Four” by Kim Cormack
“Author Kim Cormack wrote this book about her son, Cameron, detailing his hilarious and mischievous adventures just as he was turning 4 years old. The beach scenes were photographed at Rathtrever Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, which she calls the most beautiful place on the planet.”

My Thoughts-
This is a cute personalized book about Kim Cormack’s family. I can totally see all the extended family falling in love with it.
I love the beach scenes. they make me want to have summer here and go swimming. I also love that each page has just one sentence on it. This has encouraged Lee to want to sit down and read it to her baby sister. Lee also gave the book to her teacher and her teacher is very excited to have the kids each learn to read it.
I would recommend this book to families with kids who are starting to read, as it is an easy read for them to get started with. Plus I love the photos and I hope you would too. This book makes me want to create a book like this for my kids.
