My Thoughts-
“Riley Mae and the Sole Fire Safari” book #3 in the Good News Shoes series by Jill Osborne, also part of the faithGirlz! publications.

After reading the first two books in this series I couldn’t wait to read what adventure Riley Mae would go on next.

Riley Mae, her mom and the people who run the shoe company, Swiftriver, are on the run. Someone wants to hurt them and they are not safe staying in the US. Their adventure takes them to Africa. Riley Mae is sad that her dad, brother and friends can’t come with her but she also understands they would be safer at home. Her trip takes her to different villages in Africa and she meets a lot of new friends. Through this trip Riley Mae realizes she wants to be a missionary when she grows up. Her shyness in the beginning is over come when she meets a young girl who has lost it all and feels like there is no hope for life. Riley prays for her and she sees a change in the girl’s life. It’s a life changing for Riley Mae and for a member of Swiftriver.

This third book in the series was just as great as the first two. I felt like I was part of their adventure, I even felt like I was the one coming face to face with an elephant. I also love watching Riley Mae grow up in her Faith with God. The author shows the thought process of this young girl and the reality of being a pre-teen talking about God to her peers.

I can’t wait til my children are ready to read these books, I know they will help them with their faith and help them share God with others. These books give to great discussions and even will help with prayer times. I look forward to the next book in the series, it’s bound to be full of crazy adventures.
