Chris’ Thoughts-
Erica had the opportunity to review this and asked if I would be interested in watching it and giving my thoughts. I’ve always been an fan of the older Star Wars movies, but have not had a chance to watch all 3 of the new ones (I think I have seen the first two, but definitely not the third). I’ve heard of this series before which is based on the movies, but I had not watched them yet but was interested.

There are 13 episodes on two Blu-Ray Disks plus additional special features.

“Against a backdrop of ever-shifting loyalties, uneasy alliances, and innocent hostilities, the conflict between the Republic and the Separatists ramps up, setting the stage for Darth Sidious’ ultimate act of treachery against the Jedi. In these uncertain times some of the deepest mysteries of light and dark sides of the Force are revealed as an intrepid clone trooper uncovers a shocking conspiracy, Anakin Skywalker’s closest relationship is tested to it’s limits, and Master Yoda makes a discovery that could forever change the balance of power in the galaxy.”

It took me one or two episodes to get into the story line as these episodes happen later on in the series, plus I think they happen somewhere between the second and third movie from what I can tell. Once I figured out the timing I really enjoyed watching them and was starting to look for ways to be able to watch more in this series. Each episode is about 30 minutes I believe, and typically there are 2-4 episodes in a row that follow a fairly tight plot before moving onto a different but related storyline. Even my daughters enjoyed sitting and watching a few of the episodes wondering what would happen next and it was fun to sit with my 15 month old son to sit and watch Star Wars (starting him early so we can have something fun to do together in the future LOL).

If you are a fan of Star Wars, or have watched the Clone Wars series I would recommend this Blu-Ray pack. The quality is good having it in Blu-Ray, plus I’m sure the special features would be a great addition for fans looking for additional content.
